Screen Size tips

I want to clearify something regarding screen size in FHM 2:

As we stated in the system requirements, the game needs at least a width of 1024 and a height of 768. If one (or both) values are the minimum, the game must be run in fullscreen mode (not maximized!).

Reason: the game needs 1024 * 768 as actual area size, that excludes the window border and window-topbar. But both take away screensize and on top you have the windows bar or on a Mac the dock bar. To allow the needed size, all of this has to disappear, thats why it needs fullscreen mode.

I read about quit a few 13" Mac Book (with a nativ 1280*800 resolution) users with problems. I have one myself, here a tip how you can play in windowed mode and all screens shown completely. Hide your dock bar in the bottom of the screen (it will move up when you point your mouse to the bottom of the screen) and in game, set it to windowed mode and a 1024*768 resolution. Works nicely for me with everything visible in game.

Try to set your taskbar to auto-hide prior to starting the game, that should free up more space. Another option is setting the game to fullscreen in the game preferences (start screen).

I'm not sure whether this is the kind of thing DarthYoda means, but I have noticed that when displaying league standings, the right-most column is obscured by a scroll bar (this is on a Mac), regardless of how large I make the window. I don't know whether there are additional columns that are obscured. See below.

I have that too.

Regardless of what size of screen

I just purchased this. How do you run in Fullscreen mode? I am on Windows 7 64 bit and I see no option in properties to run this in fullscreen mode.

So how do I do it?

On the Start Screen/Main Menu, click Preferences and there is a drop down called "Display Mode" that you can change to full screen.

Then close down FHM 2 and restart it and you'll be set.

Thank you. I was trying to do this in Windows and could not find the standard "run in" and was totally baffled. I see the option is actually in the game itself.

Anyway, going to give this a spin after playing OOTP Baseball since 2007.

Thanks again.

I have the same. You have the doc bar hidden, right? Which controls are hidden?

Ah sorry, I read your post wrong: I have 1366*800, which works when removing the doc. I fear with your notebook it will not work. :( Let me check a few things but worst case I fear you need to refund the game. :(

MizzouRah 10-02-2015 07:06 PM

What is 3d mode?

Ok, I think I was to fast with this. I researched a lot now and I think I found a way to make the game playable with 768 height (which will only work in fullscreen!). I will further test over the weekend and keep you guys updated.

I'm not a tech head by any means but another note, you have to hide the dock before you open the application. Found that out first hand :) If the game is open on any screen when you select auto hide It has no effect.

Yes, good point, thanks.
