26-Inning Playoff Game Ends at 7:30 AM

I’ve been playing OOTP for eight years, and this may be the weirdest game witnessed.

The 2030 Pirates are trying to close out the Reds in G4 for their first trip to the NLCS since 2022. Things are looking up when we go into the bottom of the 11th up 5-3, but our star closer blows the save.

From there, we play until it’s light out. On October 16 in Cincinnati, dawn comes at 7:21am. This game lasts until after 7:30.

I wasn’t sure what I was going to do once I’d exhausted the bullpen. The CPU chose to go to their G1 (and intended Game 5) starter, followed by their G2 and then G3 starter. I copied them initially, but then skipped the G2 starter and went right to the G3 starter (poor Mitch Keller), so I’d have one fresh starter for G5 if necessary.

The official time of the game was 10:32, including a 14 minute rain delay. This doesn’t square with the clocks, however, as the game started at 8:05 and went until 7:37.

Playing as the Pirates is great and everyone should do it.

I'd love to see the box score.

I screenshot the top and bottom of the box score--you should be able to see them?

I see the top and bottom but not the center.

I'm gonna assume the extra hour comes from daylight saving time, somehow. Maybe the onscreen clock applied DST for some reason?

So an average Yankees-Red Sox game?
