The game crashes repeatedly when we try to sim in our league. Pretty much the first day after downloading the new file it always crashes. Very frustrating.

Would like fixed or a refund.

As of today we cannot even advance a day. 23 seasons in. It's 2031 World Series. Been using OOTP since version 5 I think. Long running league. And OOTP 18 has completely wet the bed for us.

Please advise. What do we do?

I would guess the league file was somehow corrupted from what you're describing.

The first thing to try would be to see if you can restore from the autosave and then sim forward past that point with that.

(To restore from the automatic backup, do the following (make sure the game is not running):

1) Open the game and on the start screen, click on Settings (or Preferences in OOTP 11-14).

2) Now click on the tab "Troubleshooting".

3) Click "Open folder containing saved games".

4) Now open up the league folder you're wanting to restore.

5) Then select all of the .dat files in the folder and back them up (just in case) by copying them to a temporary folder or creating a zipped file with them

6) Open the folder called "auto-save".

7) In there, select all of the ".dat" files and copy them to the league folder (the parent of the current folder) overwriting all of the ".dat" files in the league folder.)

If that doesn't do it, we'll need to see your league files to see what's going on and if it's fixable.

You can find instructions on uploading them in my signature or upload them to Dropbox or Google Drive or another site and post the link. Or if you already have them on a server for the league, you can always just post a link here.

One of our PC users was able to sim without any issue so it seems to be isolated to a Mac issue. Same with the email problems.

Either way we'll definitely need to take a look at the league file itself, so if you can get me a link to it, it will be much appreciated. Thanks!
