2020 logo/jersey changes for MiLB, MILB, and other

Might as well get this started as we should expect changes to happen within MLB/MiLB along with the OOTP world for 2020.
  • Potomac Nationals will move to Fredericksburg in 2020. Team Branding TBD.
  • New Orleans Baby Cakes will move to Wichita in 2020. Team Branding TBD.
  • Mobile BayBears will become the Rocket City Trash Pandas.
  • Kannapolis Intimidators will re-brand for 2020.
  • First Tennessee Park, home of the Nashville Sounds, will become First Horizon Park.
  • River City Rascals will cease operations after the 2019 season.
  • The Can-Am and Frontier Leagues are merging with a Midwestern Division and Can-Am Division.
  • Ottawa Champions (Can-Am) are suspending operations
  • Florida Fire Frogs (Florida League) will be moving, no idea if they'll rebrand.
  • Connecticut Tigers (NY-Penn League) will be rebranding.
  • Florence Freedom (Frontier) will be rebranding.

Yep. I didn't start the thread last year. I'd have to look for it.

River City moved to the Prospect league, college summer league. No word yet if they'll still be the Rascals

Do you happen to have a file that I can download?

Thanks in advance

If I had to make an educated guess the new Wichita AAA team is going to be called the Prairie Schooners.

Im working on a preliminary set of 2020 MLB uniforms with Nike patches and the #20 on the front of uniforms when applicable. These right now are just what I hope/expect them to look like and Ill make adjustments once uniforms start being unveiled.

Currently have the Brewers, Cardinals, Pirates, and the NL West left.

The former Potomac Nationals are keeping their nickname when they move to Fredericksburg...say hello to the "FredNats"!

Finalists for the CT Tigers rebrand:

Quote:

Norwich Golden Roses
The Golden Roses pays tribute to Norwich's history as "The Rose of New England" which led to the moniker of The Rose City. Norwich was known as a center of wealth, commerce and influence. Immigrants coming to the area were told the streets were "paved in gold". In fact, in 1959 a small street was actually paved in tar with gold flakes during the city's 300th anniversary celebration.

Norwich Mill Mules
The Mill Mules celebrates Norwich's rich textile history. Large mills sprang up along the three rivers that flow into the city in neighborhoods such as Taftville, Occum, Yantic and Greeneville which all became "mill towns" where hardworking citizens turned raw materials and goods arriving at Norwich Harbor into good ole American products.

Norwich Narwhals
The Narwhals is a tribute to the Unicorn of the Sea, allegedly seen by merchant sailors as they sailed to and from Chelsea Landing at the Norwich harbor, bringing goods across the Atlantic to and from the city. Whether real or imagined, these creatures helped fuel the legend of the Norwich ship captain.

Norwich Salty Dogs
The Salty Dogs celebrates the city's legendary seafaring captains, and the gritty "tough as nails" attitude the community embraces. A salty dog is a nickname for a sailor who has spent much of his or her life aboard a ship at sea. Many of the buildings still standing from this era in the Norwich harbor area bear a plaque with the names of these captains that once called them home.

Norwich Sea Unicorns
The Sea Unicorns is a tribute to the mythical sea creatures and lore that legendary Norwich sea captains would see and experience during their travels. These captains were known for their skill in avoiding imperial taxation during peacetime and later at eluding warships during war but would also bring back to Norwich tall tales of close encounters with mythical creatures along the way.

I would choose Salty Dogs... that makes me think of a bunch of rough and rowdy sailors and a crusty old captain all rolled up into one.

Golden Roses is alright... especially if it is really well known for roses.

Don't care for the others... the names are strange to me and not very interesting.

Cool name and logo, but the proposed jerseys are somewhat basic. Maybe they'll have an Evel Knievel theme night.
Added my own design as a Sunday jersey.

Caps are available on their team store. However, the red and blue color shades are different than the recently released logos. I integrated the new logo colors with the team store designs.
