wow, the league averages really drop from the 1870s to the 80s don't they? The curveball got invented by Candy Cummings I think, in the meantime.
Instead, 1886 was a big year for labor strikes and pitchers as you can see. But wait for 1894, even the numbers from the steroid era a century later hardly match up with it. |
Yeah, my team had maybe one or two hitters anywhere close to 0.300. :p
