Installing an OOTP Update -- Part 2
In order to apply an update to OOTP, it says "To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation.".
How to I point the update to the "current installation"? Under Windows, I have a folders called My Documents\Out of the park developments \ OOTP Baseball 20. Should the ootp20setup.exe be stored in a certain folder in order to have the update installed "over the current installation? |
Just download to your desktop, dbl click like and install. If you installed the original to the default location, you can click continue when the window opens. Just follow the instructions.

Continuing Update Installation Problem...
I did that, the install seems to have worked fine, but when I start the game it still shows the old "20.1.32" version number. I can see the "exe" file is in the correct and default (.x86) location but the DATA files seem to be in a folder in My Documents called Out Of The Park Developments. Any clue as to how I can straighten this out??

When you originally installed OOTP, the very first time, did you let it install to the default directory or custom?
Is the patch being installed to the same directory? Have you installed any previous patches and had trouble with those? |
Seems to have updated properly this time. Thanks for your help!
