Simulating in Road to Glory

Is there any way to simulate to an event in Road to Glory? It seems that you can in Sandbox play, but I can't see it in RtG.

No there isn't. That's because Road To Glory is designed for day to day slow play. If you want to fast sim, you'll want to use one of the other modes.
