Just this week, the Vault gave up its intial images of Joe Keener, who was a two-start rookie for the Expos in 1976 (0-1, 10.35).

An undrafted free agent, Keener was in the Expos system for seven years, winning 16 games in 1974.

Putting up the 'Merk' signal
 

Hello Merkle and forum, I am still hoping 10 months later that I missed the releases from the Vault on Mil_Ryerson, Mon_Scherman, & Min_Schueler..... Can anyone on this great forum confirm? And/or Merk - can you share any updates on recent/future trips back to the Vault? Thanks in advance!

A Whale of a Week
 

In the ongoing waiting game to see what White Whales and Unicorns the Topps Vault might set free, this past Thursday was a red-letter day for those who wait.
On the same day, eBay posted Vault images for long-sought players Greg Mahlberg (Rangers) and Chuck Machemehl (Indians), with two images of each. Since that painstaking search by Merkle last year, the Vault has been releasing its rarities seldom -- making Thursday's release of Mahlberg, Machemehl and Twins minor leaguer Chuck MacPherson, all for the first time -- quite a haul. Gene Martin, a seldom-seen Senator, was part of Tuesday's release.

In March of 2015, several key members of this site posted their White Whales (rumored but believed to exist) and Unicorns (wishful thinking only) that had yet to be seen in Vault releases. Many of us used their lists as a big part of our own search party.
Beginning in May of 2016, Folders beginning with the prefix "K" began, with thousands of images released beginning with KA until KZ filled earlier this summer. Some of those White Whales were reeled in.

Here are finds for one collector (we won't ID him): Al Fitzmorris (Indians) KX; Ed Farmer (Brewers) KQ; Scott Meyer (A's) GW, KG; Mahlberg (Rangers) PA 713-714; Gerry Pirtle (Expos) KG; Keith Drumright (Astros) KJ; Myron White (Dodgers) KX; Tony Castillo (Padres) GY, KT; Dave Wehrmeister (Padres) MM, but may be wrong uniform for his need; Mark Wiley (Padres) KX.

Here are another collectors's wants, all completely different that the other:
Tom Bruno (78, Cardinals) MT, KY; Don Werner (78, Reds) GZ, KU; Pete Broberg (77, Cubs) KC; Lerrin LaGrow (76 Cardinals) KQ; Sonny Siebert (75 A's) KD; Mike Caldwell (73 Padres) GZ; Eddie Leon (72 Indians) KY; Cecil Upshaw (72 Braves) KY; Hal Haydel (71 Twins) GZ, KH, KU.

Currently, the Vault releases NFL images on Friday-Saturday and baseball the rest of the week.

This want list sounds suspiciously like mine used to look before, coincidentally, a couple years ago. I don't recall the Fitzmorris, though, which I need in the 1978 uni variety (Square C on the cap as opposed to the crooked C). If I missed that gem, could someone provide? Thanks!

There are no Fitzmorris, Indians in the KX series. Probably an ID error there...All in all, there are 4 Fitz Indians, 2 in the GC & 2 inthe GD series....but, sadly, all 4 with what you call the crooked C.

keonleafs, you've continued to prove how reliable and trusted a source you are in reference to Vault pics. As such, and if you don't mind - I'd like to direct my recent question to you sir since my archived list of the Vault folders is not as expansive as others. Any chance that you have you seen the "treacherous three" published in the Vault?

Two more Vault debuts October 22nd
 

The Vault has released images of two more-short time big leaguers who have likely been on a few lists.
One is John Bohnet, who made three starts for the 1982 Indians, and Rick Engle, who made one relief appearance for the Expos in 1981. Also a longtime minor leaguer, Larry Rush (shown with the Brewers circa 1982).
Christmas is coming early, perhaps.
