Won't download league file
Have the game loaded and running but when I try to download the latest league file from the web it goes to 12% then stops and I get an error. Have reloaded everything 3 times with the same result. Any ideas?

How do you white list it? Turned off Norton firewall and auto protect but no change
|
Are you downloading through wifi? Try a wired connection.
|
Is this for an OOTP patch/update or for an online league file?
|
Wifi and a league file. OOTP17 works fine and only have one league on 18 but won't download league file past 12%. Everything else on 18 works fine, even uploads file
|
OOTP 18 is loaded and works fine uploading changes I have made to league file. I can play historical and other games with no problem. When I try to download the latest league file it stops at 12% and sits there util I get an error. I can get updated league files but I have to delete all league files and redownload and install them then I can make changes and upload with no problems. I am in a league with OOTP17 and have no problems what so ever. I run the same settings with each 17 and 18 and I use wifi. I have also disabled Windows firewall and Nortons and disabled autoprotect with no changes

Is there any other info I can provide? I need to get this working
|
You've disabled Norton and your firewall at the same time and it still doesn't go through?
Hmm, that's a tough one. The only other suggestion I'd have would be to go to online settings in-game and change your ftp mode from active to passive (or vice-versa) and then try again. |
1) What is the Error Message?
2) Just as a technical rule out have you tried to DL with your computer wired instead of Wifi? 3) Has this league ever worked for you on 18? 4) Have you checked with your commissioner or league to see if other are having problems? 5) Have you manually checked your FTP settings to confirm they work? There are buttons to test the connection in the settings. 6) How many other Wifi users are on your network when you are downloading? I will often have a file downloading, wife on Netflix and laptop and another Netflix connection with 3 kids devices all using my wifi at once. I usually have DL problems when I try to cram that much data through at once. |
1. Passive and FTP load to 12% then I get: Error: Could not download file.
Active goes right to same error, does not load 12%. 2. Have not tried wired 3. League has never worked (Only league in 18 I am in) 4. Commissioner has not stated anyone else having this problem 5. Where are buttons to check FTP 6. Only my wife and I and I have tried at different hours of the day with her here and no |
What happens if you try to download the file using a third party ftp program like FileZilla?
Does it work or does the download hang up there as well? If it works, then it's likely an OOTP problem, probably in the settings and we can take a closer look there. If not, then it's probably a connection issue and may be beyond my ability to find a solution for... |
Downloaded Filezilla now how do I set it up to test it
|
You will need information from your commissioner to get files to DL through Filezilla.

Top of left of game screen- "File"->Online League->Online League FTP Options-> Try "Import Account Data File" and "Check Account Data File" Anything? |
OK I have an update. I just joined another league in OOTP18 and have no problems uploading or downloading.
|
Odd, you are having some sort of connection issue. Did you try a wired connection for the problematic league?
Have you confirmed with the commissioner that your exports are making it to the server? |
Have not tried wired. On league website it shows my exports are getting there. Going to try and get gm file from somewhere else.
|
Question: If one league works fine why would I have to be wired for another to work? Could it be a corrupted accountsgm file?
