Unable to edit Jersey numbers?
 

I'm doing a historical game, in the year 2000. The inaugural Minnesota Wild roster seems to have some issues, however, several players either have numbers that aren't historically accurate, or they've been assigned #0. Not really a big deal, but when I right click to select "Change Jersey Number" the option is greyed out and cannot be clicked. Changing the "preferred number" field in the edit player section does not seem to work either.

Anyone who can shed some light on how to fix this would be much appreciated!

You need to be in commissoner mode to use the change jersey number feature - if it's not on, you'll only be able to change them in response to player requests or when a player joins the team.

I'm working on getting all the historical jersey numbers added; I think I've got a way that'll let me import them from eliteprospects data in a large batch, rather than the slow one-by-one process I've been using but there are some possible issues that'll need to be worked out first.

sorry to gravedig this, but I just purchased the game and can't even start a season because 3 players need to be assigned numbers and they're all greyed out?? I'm not in commissioner mode, but I can't play at all? Is the only way to play is to be in commissioner mode?

off topic, but I can't even offer contracts to FAs, I can pick my offers, but there is no button to submit the offer.
