10/5 rule to veto trade turn OFF?

I started my season in 1977 managing the Phillies. I acquired Jim Rice as my new LF which makes Luzinski expendable. But he vetoes all trade attempts. He would rather sit the bench for the Phillies rather than start for another contender.

How can I turn off the right to veto trades?

League settings, Rules tab, right pane near the top under Trading Rules, disable the 10/5 rule

Are you referring to the app or the regular game?

I don't see league settings on the app.

In MLBM you can demote anyone to the minor league roster, so the workaround is to demote him, then after a while he'll probably be annoyed and agree to a trade.

It's a house rule of mine never to do that, because while the game allows it, it feels like cheating. But there's no setting that lets you remove the veto.

I sat hit on the bench for a season. The next off season he was not vetoing trade offers. I guess that is what it takes.
