24-team Schedule Request

Hello,

I'm looking for someone to help with making a schedule for a 2 SL league, with 2 divisions of 6 per league, playing 162 games with 90 games in their respective divisions, 36 games against the other division in the SL (2 3-game series per team), and 36 interleague games (one 3-game series with each team).

If this is specifically possible to make, it would be a huge help to my fictional league. Thanks!

I had another schedule to complete before this one. I have scheduled about 50% of the games. I will get it done when I can :)

Schedule Assistance

Hey, Friends.

I was hoping that I could get some help. I absolutely LOVE this schedule ^^^ when it comes to the balance for our 24 team league. 18 games in division, 6 games in opposite division, and 3 games for each interleague team. It's perfect!

There is only one problem that I don't like. When I import the schedule... every single team has every single Monday off, all season long. What I would really like is the same team vs. team breakdown that this schedule provides but also have the days off varying across the schedule. I want some teams to have the day off when other teams have to play. Don't like the whole league being off on the same day.

I've spent a lot of time researching and trying to find a way to get a schedule just like this one, but with the days off varied. Can anyone help me with such a template? Or a way to adjust this ^^^ template so the days off are more varied?

Any help/perspective you can provide would be most appreciated.

Thanks.

Tim

I would also love this. This is precisely the schedule I need, but I'm looking to have a realistic distribution of days off on Mondays and Thursdays.

I decided to make a new version of this in the new MLB 162-games-in-186-days form. To do that involved making some 4-game series, and in doing that I sacrificed perfect home/away balance in the division. Each team plays one division opponent 10H/8A, one 8H/10A, and the other three 9H/9A.

See the comments below for the very fixed method of how the interdivision and interleague matchups were slotted in.

Code:

#
# 24 team schedule, 162 games
# Designed for the following configuration:
# 2 subleagues each with 2 divisions, each with 6 teams
#
#
# 18 games against 5 other teams in division (8-10H/8-10A)
#  6 games against 6 other teams in league (3H/3A)
#  3 games against 6 teams in other league (3H or 3A)
#
#
# Interdivision series occur every other weekend
# Interleague series occur early every other week,
# immediately following interdivision matchups
#
# Teams play as many as 20 consecutive days without offday
#
# No homestands or roadtrips longer than 14 games
#
# Teams play 13-14 weekend series at home
#
# All game times set at 7:05pm
#
# Season begins Thursday before first Monday of April
# Season thus ends late September/early October
#
# Season begins Thursday before first Monday of April
# Season ends late September/early October
# Season spans 186 days
#
# All-Star Game in mid-July
