Possible Calendar Problem

I just noticed something weird. It's Oct. 3 and my scheduled starting pitcher last pitched on 9/28. That's 5 days ago, but his profile status show him having pitched 4 days ago (wrong) on 9/28 (right).

I next looked at the guy who pitched on the 29th, 4 days ago, and his profile says he pitched 3 days ago. Then, the profile for the guy who pitched on the 30th, 3 days ago is correct -- showing that he pitched on the 30th and that this was 3 days ago.

I've never noticed this before (haven't looked either). Has anyone else seen anything like this?

I guess I have an answer to my own puzzlement. The game 5 days ago started at 7:05 and today's game starts at 6:05, so I'm still an hour short of 5 days having passed. I didn't know till today that this mattered.

That still seems off. You would think OOTP would just calculate a "day" every time you hit the button to advance to the next day.

Well, that's what I thought till I found this situation and noticed the hour time difference. Unless someone knows something else more definitive, I'm just going to assume that accounts for it.

Wow....always a detail lurking somewhere in the game I'd never imagined.

New to me, but I never looked closely. Does it affect his rest status?

Yes, that's why I noticed it. The effect is the same we always see if a starter has 4 days rest in a modern environment.

From the reactions I've seen here, I'm guessing now that the problem is not related to the 1 hour earlier start time I noted before. Maybe it only occurs in moving from September to October? still.

Confirming that this doesn't happen in my game. We had a 1:00 Sunday start after a 7:00 Saturday start, and all of my pitchers show the correct rest status.

It could be a bug that doesn't count Sep 30 in profiles.

I think that is what happened. I'm going to report this as a bug.
