Looking For Specific Leagues
 

Are there any leagues out there that play league as locked. Meaning the team you start off with is the team you play all year with? Some teams will start season with good cards but come playoffs or near playoffs will load their team with PT & Diamond Cards. I know this is an effort to keep the team from being promoted (Stay Put) while sweeping thru playoffs.


I would like somehow to be in a league where a 40 man roster is submitted & only players from 40 man roster can be used. I would prefer the league to have just GOLD cards & below to be used. That my PT friends would be a awesome way to play a league. No more worrying about your strategy being nullified by teams swapping out with 100 cards in playoffs. Sure sometimes you can beat a WHALE team but during a 5-7 game series....not likely....JUST ASKING. I would love to be in this type of league. Would be awesome

We need this type of league for burnt out players like me to survive playing this PT game. I know how to keep other teams on the up & up with their 40 man rosters.

I don’t know if what you’re looking for can happen in PT. There are probably online OOTP leagues that operate in that way, though. However, if you’re looking for a PT experience that’s more in line with your desires I suggest you check out the ‘Looking for “Friends” to play in “Our League”’ thread. The OL plays using a FTP model, meaning you cannot purchase PP for the team. We only use historical cards (no Live or Future Legend cards). We friend other OL managers so we’re placed in leagues together and track games vs other OL teams. Since we’re all FTP there aren’t any whales. We have 7 teams in Iron, 9 in Silver and 4-5 in Bronze, Gold, and Diamond. So there always OL games going on!

It’s not exactly what you wanted but in the absence of fixed leagues it’s as close as you’ll get.

You can join anytime by creating a new team (or converting an existing one, so long as you’ve never purchased PP for the team).

Having OL has made things a lot more fun for me.
