This thread is for PROPER bug reporting! If you find a bug, please post a detailed explanation here, and also upload your league files! (Does not apply to purely cosmetic bugs, here a screenshot should be enough). Please zip the league files (just the *.dat files, you find your saved games in your My Documents folder within the Out of the Park Developments folder, i.e. "My Documents/Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 16/saved_games". FTP the zipped league files to our support server (instructions here: How to FTP files to OOTP Developments ) and add the league file name to your post. IMPORTANT: Bug reports without uploaded league files will be ignored!

Having surface pro 3 issues. I am not able to get anything bigger then 1440 x 921. Also if I select full screen I get the following error:

APP_Framework:: set_full_screen _ unable to open graphics

When you start a game as unemployed with unproven reputation, every single team in your save offers you a job. All the way from Rookie League up to the Yankees :)

Having a issue with the bottom window broadcast view after the first batter of each inning the window goes dark, you can still see the player but it's like the lights are turned off. This is with the version released this morning, imported league, I've been playing with it through beta process.

I'm uploading the files, named iDad.

Just to let you know I loaded another league and it's doing the same thing, but not gonna upload that file.

Cannot switch to "Windows" mode in Windows 8.1. It stays in "Fullscreen" mode. If I tab to a different program, I cannot get back into OOTP16 and need to close and reboot. Very frustrating.

Are you in commissioner mode by chance? If so, then this is how it's supposed to work.

On some of the "HOF" Baseball Cards the text runs beyond the boundary of the plaque. Many others are fine but on some there is too much text to fit. Also, long team names seem not to fit, this should be the San Francisco Bay Breakers (may just need shorter names :) or a bit different layout of the card. Maybe position abbreviated instead of written out).

I seem to be having a problem with FaceGen in a long running league. After a trade, the player pictures disappeared and are not re-appearing.

There was a "bug" which has now been "fixed". When the new build comes Monday an unproven coach will have less choice (if you want it all, then yeah, just use commish mode)

Fielding experience bug

Involves newly created players who are 21 years old in fictional games (or i guess ml quickstarts after year 1)

If you set up a fictional league and look at any 21 year old player, their fielding experience in their prime position will be 230.
The game adds by 30
18 year olds have 140,. 19 170, 20 year olds 200
then it is supposed to stop, but 21 yr olds on creation still get the 30 fielding bonus and wind up with 230.

It works right with 22 year olds and up who come in with no more than 200

We're aware that the text is running over - we didn't quite get that fix in to the build for today, but that will be in for Monday.

As for the cards, your team just has too long of a name :) You can always edit the card template for your own game. It should be in the data/bb_cards/templates folder. If your team names are too big, you can open the xml and change the [%POSITION] to [%POSITION_SHORT], and that likely will give you the proper spacing you want.

I can't get Full Screen, 3D, or Facegen to enable. 3D and Facegen allow me to change the option to 'enabled' but when i restart, they are disabled again. When I change to full screen, the entire screen is white and i end up needing to force close the application.

I didn't have these problems with 15.

Running Windows 8.1 on a laptop with built in graphics chip.

Any thoughts?

Edit - i installed on my desktop as well, running windows 7, and i'm having the exact same problems.

Just want to formally get this in here. I have no webcast option when playing out games. Only Broadcast and 3d. Someone posted a screenshot with the webcast option available so it may be missing only in some cases.

Facegen Issue
 

I have facegen enabled, but no faces show up. So I went into the settings and changed "Player Pictures for" from "No Fictional Pictures" to "All Players" and now faces show up.

I'm running the default MLB league and the players faces don't look anything like their face, so I'm guessing it thinks every place is fictional?

I'm running on a Mac, here are my settings:

Just as a heads up, the winning prob in played out games go to 1.0% for the batting team and 99% for the fielding, no matter what the score.

When running a fictional league after simming through playoffs and into next season no icons appear next to Cy Young and other award winners. Do icons not appear in fictional leagues???
-They do appear on the baseball cards and in the league history. Is it because there's only 4 teams? I don't see why that would make a difference.

When running a fictional league after simming to the manual award section if I click on all star voting the game crashes-
This is less important because there are only 4 teams in the league right now and therefore there isn't really an all-star game. Which is probably why the system is getting confused.

I believe they're generated at pre-season for the following year, but I may have that exact interval wrong. Same time awards enter history.

Thank you. Changed the position to _SHORT and increased the width of the team name and it all looks good. Just have to make sure I save it so it doesn't get overwritten :)

Still not showing up even when I sim to the next year.

Does my league format have to do with it?
I'm doing an independent fictional league starting from scratch with 4 teams 1 division and all awards on.
(Plan is to expand independents to majors and then so on but I don't think that's relevant)
Simmed first two seasons and players WON awards just no icons show up next to their names...for anybody.

I'm a couple games into the third season and still nothing.

My facegen also doesn't appear to be working. I have it enabled for both all settings and for this league and yet no faces appear.

...I've also experienced a number of crashes so far.

Text not fitting. Screen size is 1366 x 768.

Sorry guys, I figured out what happened with the icons. I was doing an independent league and apparently they only show on the major league level. That's my fault.

I think the crashes were a result of me also rushing into games without making sure they made sense logistically, but I'll update on that.

I suppose this is a bug, the place where you have the awards icons doesn't seem to be in the right place. It's hidden behind text.

When you change mgr strategy it's not change with team strategy for Major League Coaches, but when you ask the coach in the minors after the change it does it just fine

I am in GM and commissioner mode

Not sure if this is a bug or something I'm doing wrong but why are all my players missing any Games Started data? It just shows as a blank field for all players in my standard league I just made. Pitchers seem to have the GS stat but batters do not.

Curacao, Hong Kong, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Northern Marianas, Palau, Sint Maarten, and Tuvalu aren't sorting correctly when sorting by nationality.

Grafton19, I created a bug report.

1. We have a roster errors thread.
2. The MLB quickstart doesn't include previous year GS for whatever reason. Same thing happened last year.

Noticed that the Red Sox had signed a guy named MacOrtiz. I posted this in the "real rosters" thread, on the chance that he was an actual guy, but apparently he's game-generated. Not sure what happened, since the DR uses 100% Hispanic names and I don't even see "Mac" listed in the Hispanic section of the first names file...

Three things I noticed when I imported my game from OOTP15:

1. Player pictures did not show up on the HOF members

2. News did not import

3. Player history did not import

Trading problem: Shopped a player around and one team offered a player in exchange. When I clicked on the "trade" link, the other team said "That's not a good deal for us..."

Just further info on this - I found that initially the awards icons were in the correct place but if I switched between skins (from dark to classic or whatever) they moved to behind the players name like in your screenshot. Appears this is because (as the game recommends) I did not restart after switching skins.

Another text problem with 1366 x 768 screen on trading screen:

I cant change the screen resolution. It is fixed on default. Running an Alienware laptop with Windows 8,1 Pro. Thought maybe because it was using the integrated graphics, so I changed to the Geforce, but didn't make a difference. Windowed or Full Screen doesn't matter either. Just stays like this.

I'm getting a fatal error every time I try to install after the download. I've redownloaded from the provided link. I'm currently attempting again. I've had no issues in the past 7 iterations of the game.

When playing in 3D mode, there is no ball movement at all. No ball trajectories or players icons when on base.

Edit: Nevermind it was my computer settings.

Switch to historical team selection in the fiction league creation wizard results in a crash, so after you select say 1976 SFG and 1996 NYY, and press proceed the game stops working.

Not necessarily a game bug, but an annoying bit in the installer.

I was trying to install the game and the installer was quitting out after choosing to install it to the Default path. When I tried installing to a custom path I got a pop up telling me that I didn't have enough space on my hard drive (which was true). This pop up never came up when I had simply chosen the default path, though.

I have crashed probably 6 times... Currently unable to get through July of my first season. Tried twice. How should this be reported?

FYI very complicated for normal folks. Fortunately i have used the internet since 1993. Uploaded a file called July_crash.rar.

Playing in 1920x1200 with standard font size, looking in the "Meet the Team" section, and I get this. The text seems to not be quite fitting into the designated area:

Looking through the other teams, it's not just isolated to one team.

I was playing out a game and, in the middle of the game, maximized the program. It took me to the lineup screen (game sounds still going) and nothing I clicked on did anything (ie, was not able to go back to broadcast view, was not able to click on players (though hovering still worked). I had to Cntrl+Alt+Delete to close out of the program. I tried it again to see if it was reproducible and it did it again. It seems to happen when you adjust the size of the screen in any way mid-game. Running Windows 8.

I have found only one small problem so far. I can't drag and drop players on the field where I want them. As soon as I click on them to drag them, the players page opens up.
I played one game with 3D fields and the players are already set up fine. I played a 2nd game in network mode to use my photo of Citizen's Bank Park and the players are all over the place. I can't rearrange them, however. When I try, the players page opens up and I can't drag them. Thank you.


I have an update on this problem. I just found out that it is not left click and drag like it used to be, but it is right click and drag. And it's not very smooth working. I had a hard time trying to get it to work. Had to click and drag 2 or 3 times to get it to move. Thank you.

May be a bug, not sure...

When I installed the All In One 2015 mod, it also installed the yearly baseball card templates. These templates cause the hall of fame player images to be generated based on the year they were inducted. So Hank Aaron doesn't have a plaque, he has a 1982 fleer baseball card. I would prefer keeping the plaques regardless of what baseball card template is installed.

Old issue
 

In the team rosters & transactions screen the screen next to the active roster I always make the disabled list. Well it was a list with no name. I accidentally put Tim Raines and Jim Wohlford on there and now I cannot find them anywhere as I renamed in the disabled list.

Help. Ok i fixed it by asking the AI to set up the whole organization. Please make the second list a disabled list to avoid this.

Playing on an 11-inch macbook air (OSX 10.10.2) and I cannot get windowed mode to work. When I change the settings either nothing changes (when restarting the game or in the moment) or the game crashes.
