Newbie Front Office Questions for Historical Sim

I am starting a historical sim from 1871. I have restructured the league as the NA was and assigned the players to their historic teams. Four of the teams have their historic managers. However, Five teams have fictional managers. Four of those teams were managed by a player while one was managed by a club executive. How do I make an existing player the manager when I don't see him in the list of coaches?

Also, teams back then did not have a hitting coach, pitching coach, bench coach, or trainer. They are currently all fictional. Should I just fire them or leave them with the teams?

Thanks in advance.

two ways. Retire teh player, turn him into a coach then assign him to the team you want then unretire the player and put him back on teh team he want him on. or
Clone the player retire the clone and turn him into a MGR This is probably the best way
or make a new coach and edit him to look like the player. ( hometown, DOB etc)
What sucks is when Jimmy Wood gets fired from Chicago but still plays for Chicago.
