adding screen backround
 

can anyone tell me how to add a screen backround for teams? i tried and nothing coming up i even put them in all of the proper folders

This should be as easy as putting the files into the "screen_backgrounds" folder.

Are you using the correct file type (.png) with the correct size (1920x1200)?

Are you sure you're using the correct path? On Windows it would be
C:\Users\User\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 4\saved_games\your game name.lg\graphics\screen_backgrounds

Did you name the files correctly? Have you overwritten files that were in that folder?
What background files are you using? Could you post an example, so I could test if it works with my game?

Clear cache??

I thought of something cache related, too.
But it's not possible to "clear" the cache (in FHM3 & FHM4, don't know about FHM5 yet), there are only options to change settings how the game is handling the cache.
He still could try changing the settings there, maybe that helps.
Wanted to rule out if there's a problem with the files he's using first.

Thanks guys for replies yes i am using the correct path C:\Users\User\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 4\saved_games\your game name.lg\graphics\screen_backgrounds and the photos are png and correct size i still dont know why they are not showing up. I started a historical season if that helps

i named that photo philadelphia_flyers is that the right way?

The picture you've attached doesn't have the correct size. It's 1852x1157 but it has to be 1920x1200.
That file is also a .jpg file not a .png, but that happens while attaching here.

Works in FHM3 and FHM4, haven't purchased FHM5 yet but it shouldn't be any different.

That's weird. But you're not the first one who's having trouble with screen backgrounds.

I hope someone with FHM5 can help you out. Since I'm not having the game yet I can't be sure if the devs made some changes compared to FHM3 & FHM4.

Do you have the Steam or the eSellerate version?

It still could be cache related. You could try to change the setting on the start page.
Default should be "normal cache". You could set it to "cache disabled (slow)" and check if your backgrounds show up then.

I can't get my background pics to show up in FHM5 either. I've changed the default background with another 1920x1200 png file, but no matter what I do it will not show up in-game. I've even changed the background files in the skin folders found the x86 steamapps file path. Nothing is working. Has anyone figured this out yet???
