Where will my "collection" go when PT 1.0 servers close?

Hey all,
So, what are you gonna do when the servers close, and the way it is now, there's no way to import your purchases of OOTP19 PT1.0 content into the regular OOTP19 game, for your own personal use, or to be available in historic exhibitions and private online leauges as promised?
Online purchases are usually available to download for legal owners of games, owners who have added additional content and soon may have no way to access it are being asked to the same thing with PT2.0.
Right now I'm concerned about OOTP19 and PT 1.0.
I've not purchased OOTP20 yet and may not, unless this issue is addressed by the developers.
My first OOTP purchase was OOTP08, still use it sometimes.
Have OOTP16 on another laptop, still play it sometimes, as well.
Perhaps if the devs can't spend the time needed on this issue, they will release the tools needed and instruct us on how to do it ourselves?
Still love the game, but can't spend money on content that may disappear soon year after year.

Respectfully,
Mike Marvin

Your card collections will still be available to view once PT1.0 is stopped.

Thanks for your reply Mate!
That still is not accectable use of online purchased content.
I can take a screenshot of my team and look at it offline, too.
Thanks,
m

Why is it unacceptable? You do not own your team. Sorry to break it to you but OOTP owns it. :)

Just have fun with it! :)

They have been extremely clear about this from the very beginning

bluesguy 04-15-2019 01:23 PM

They have listed the abillity to import your PT1.0 as a coming attraction ever since the beta launched.
There's even a check box on the opening screen for this purpose.
It is currently non funtional.
And how can it belong only to them when I have spent money to purchase it.
Lots of games have in game purchases, and they are available to the owner for offline and private use.

So I don't know if you're agreeing with me or telling me I'm wrong????

That's what I want to do.
Have fun with my purchases, content that I have legally purchased and therefore legally should have full access to.

If OOTP owns the content, then why is there additional pay to own content.
I've said many times that I've always loved OOTP, but this is the first time they have made additional pay to own content available.
I just want access to my purchases.

Thanks,
m

You do make some very good points. Also if they said a coming attraction would be to import your PT1.0. Then I would think they would have to allow for that?

Thanks for the reply.
here's a screenshot of the setup screen,

Really? How? Wouldn't we need to log into something to be able to see it?

I hope you are right and that my concerns are needless. I think I would enjoy this extremely minor persistent ability :)

Not sure how exactly but the devs have said a few times that we will still be able to view our collections :)

The only way the content can be available after the servers shut down is to be able to import it (download to the OOTP19 game), then it will always be available for use in historic exhibitions and private online leauges.
That way you'll be able to actually use the additional content that you have purchased or won.
Plus you can look at the cards, too.

Why do you say that is the only way?

bluesguy 04-15-2019 08:18 PM

The only way you can access your PT team is online at this time.
Start your game and play a series or game.
There is no access to your Perfect Team without the OOTP19 TP1.0 servers being online.
If you don't click on play Perfect Team there is no way to see your cards.

I might be way off base here, but the way I understand it, simulating 10,000-odd games every half hour takes up most of the server resources. If that aspect of the game is shut down, and every players' cards are regarded as inactive, then in theory it would take very few resources to keep that portion of PT online.

bluesguy 04-15-2019 09:07 PM

Would be great if we could be assured that the servers will keep running.
Or to allow private servers to continue running leagues.

When will Pt end on version 19 of the game?

bluesguy 04-15-2019 09:22 PM

We've been told that possibly the servers will run a year or so.

Pardon my curiosity but it's driving me bonkers...What's with the lowercase "m" at the end of all your posts?
