Ways you know you're in to OOTP too much
 

Sometime back, just for fun, I posted a top ten "ways you know you're in to OOTP too much". I thought it might be fun for everyone to contribute to a thread about it. I'll start...

When you're about to win your division title you have champagne and beer on ice and cover the entire living room in plastic.

When you find yourself thinking and caring more about your OOTPB team than your real life MLB team.

When you're playing and it's closer to the time you need to wake up than the time you needed to do to bed

True Story

When you hope none of your friends invite you to do anything fun on the weekend so you can just sit in front of the game all day and feel no guilt about it. (Much like I am doing today, and much like I do every weekend.)

When you keep a phonebook next to your computer so you can change all the players names to something more obscure in the next upcoming amateur draft.

When you're watching a real game on TV and madly rooting for the Blue Jays to beat the Yankees because the Yankees are a half game back of your Tampa Bay Rays in your OOTP universe....

EDIT: I should add true story... but then after, I dunno, an inning or two it suddenly dawned on me... lol... like "What in the world are you doing OldFatGuy" lol

When more than 50% of your posts on your favorite team's blog are about how your OOTP version of that team is doing.

After one of your players as been ejected in the game, you stand up and start arguing with your computer while stripping your shirt and watch and throwing them across the room a la Torrie Hunter.

When you go to the doctor for carpal tunnel from pushing the space bar while playing OOTP.
Also a habit of twitching your fingers as if you are playing OOTP.
If you can name the starting lineup of all the teams in your OOTP League.

When you see certain colors and say to yourself...that'd be a good color for a logo. lol

When two of your three kids advance to the next school grade and the third one has to repeat the same grade, you refer to it as "keeping him down in the minors."

(Ok, that one was kinda cruel :p:o)

You know you play OOTP too much when you get up and walk across the room for mound visits before returning to your computer dugout.

1, Stay up way too late
2, Care more about your OOTP team than your favorite MLB team
3, Confusing players in your ootp league with their real-life counterparts.

When you take better care of OOTP LIFE than your REAL LIFE.

Your boss threatens to fire you because you spend too much time at work playing OOTPB.

When you "run" an online league, but it's just a website for your solo fictional league.

When you create your fantasy players from OOTP in MLB The Show just so you can win a world series while actually swinging the bat...

When it's almost 3 a.m. in St. Louis and you're pissed off because the Cardinals-D'backs game is in the 18th inning and cutting into your OOTP time.
(I usually play from 1 to 4 a.m.)
UPDATE: Diamondbacks win in bottom of the 19th, at 3:34 p.m. Horrible display of baseball as both teams had numerous runners on base in extra innings but failed to do anything to score them. (I.E., laydown bunts or steal with their faster runners on first).
They both just continually swung for the fences.
It was painful to watch. I should have played OOTP and checked in after I was done.

You wish your real job had a "can not be fired" box to tick so you can go bonkers from time to time.
