Game crashed after playing NHL second season at trade deadline. responding to a trade inquiry and gone. Will wait for next patch before playing again.

Ive had it crash every time I "right click" on a player on that screen. If I use left button it seems to be fine. Frustrating though. (in hoping im talking about the same screen.

Right-clicking seems to work fine for me on that screen. What game mode/team/league were you playing as?

Think I have the wrong screen. My crashes when I right click on players listed in the bottom right of the screen (guess its free agents or players on shortlists). If a player is a Free Agent it crashes.
Im playing with the 83 Leafs (although now its 1987).

My biggest issue is most Free Agents are unsignable or even unofferable. They are there as FAs but I can only shortlist them, nothing more.

The Free Agents Center, during the offseason? That just lists the recent signings, so there aren't any right-click options attached to the players there, although it still shouldn't crash when you try it. Doesn't seem to happen to me when I start a game with the 83 Leafs and go to the first offseason, though.

Sorry, not sure if you mean "Make trade offer" from the action button once you're already in the player profile, or "Trade offer" from the right-click menu when you're looking at a roster/list screen. And what are the other details of the game - modern/historical/fictional, and which team?

A team made a trade offer to me. As soon as I respond, gone!!

Using 2013/2014 current mode New York Rangers in commissioner.

It happened in 2nd season played 2014.

Mine was in the EIHL managing Guildford. I had a player who was making 40000 a year and rejected a new contract. When he did I placed his name on the Trade List...I had an offer and when I went to reject it the game crashed and now it wont go beyond that point.

I'm in the free agency period after 1st season. Can make signings ok, but if I hit trade (on both the roster overview screen and the individual player screen) it crashes.
This is a standard, current-day league using commish mode with 1.2.10 2nd patch.
I'll install 3rd patch and try again.

Well. Windows 7. Commish mode. Season 3 (2015) NHL. Had injuries called up players. They won't dress. So the game is stalled. And it only allows certain FA to be signed. And I agree trading is difficult if at all possible unless you get an offer. Back to OOTP14 until next FHM patch. I highly recommend it to all even if you don't know baseball. Its the premier Baseball Manager Game. Tried others but they don't come close.

I'm contantly getting crashes. The newest build isn't playable for me with multiple seasons. Can't get past 2. I actually reverted back to an old patch. I too am getting constant crashes after the first season. Happens in modern day and historical when I click on "Contract" tab for a players profile during the off season, it crashes. It also crashes in the second season when I simulate.

Same thing started happening to me too. I´m at start of my fourth season starting from 1983-84 and trades used to be ok.

The crash happens when right-clicking player and offering a trade and when going to player profile and selecting trade offer from the action menu.

A little update on the trading crash bug: I´m able to make trades without any crashes when CPU is the one who makes offers for my players in the trade list.

i know this is an older thread, but i am having this issue. i'm in the off season after season 1 playing at Kootenay in WHL. First season trading was fine.
now the game crashes when trying anything trade related. using 1.5.20
just curious.

Always use the 'Trade players' option in the team menu for trading.
Trading by selecting the option on the players info page or by right-clicking on the shortlist f.e. still causes the game to crash sometimes.
The devs are aware of the problem and i´m pretty sure this will be fixed with the next update.
