Thank you for the response. I am pleased to learn that it is not based on naming conventions. It is great that the rules are based on MLB.
However, if the rules are stupid, then why not change it to something that increases in-game balance and competition? Its not like the rule would ever be used to relegate an actual MLB team, after all... As it stands, a team is being relegated despite being 119 runs better according to the differential. When considering the Pythagorean records, it feels like the decision is based largely on luck.
It doesn't help much either that I don't know where to go to find our head-to-head-to-head records.
