Roster set (MLB, MiLB & international leagues) problems - please post here!

Hey guys,

we want to constantly improve the real roster set, so please post issues you run across here once the game is released. Keep in mind though, it is not Opening Day yet, so these rosters are meant to be projections and obviously not the final version.

Please do not post issues with players being on wrong roster / lineup / pitching staff spots, the AI sets these up and there is nothing we can do to force player X to be used in a certain predefined way.

Also, do not post stuff like "Trout just hit .260 in my sim, this cannot be right." or "Why has X better ratings than Y?". Posts like these will be ignored! Major league player ratings are based on ZiPS projections, not opinion.

Please, please before you make any comments in this thread that touch on ratings or rankings, turn off scouting. If you're commenting when you still have scouting on, it's inaccurate, confusing and a waste of both our time and your own.

Please post here:
- Errors in contracts
- Issues with players being in the wrong organization
- Vastly wrong player ratings (disable scouting first so you see the real ratings), for example a Double-A scrub having allstar-calibre ratings

Thanks for helping!
Markus

A few notes:

The international leagues are not yet fully updated as the current season's data for most of them has only recently become available.

Here's the rough current status for them:

Japan: Should be pretty up to date, we'll still need to make some tweaks, re-rate some players but rookies should be present and most offseason moves are updated.

Korea: Not very up to date. Most offseason moves should be updated but rookies have not been added yet and uniform numbers are not correct.

Taiwan: Should be reasonably up to date, with most rookies present, but we're still working on adjusting the rosters to reflect all off-season movement.

Cuba: Should be mostly up to date.

Mexico: Should be mostly up to date.

Italy: Should be mostly up to date.

Holland: Should be mostly up to date.

US Indy Leagues: Should be mostly up to date but most teams have not signed players for this year yet and filled out their rosters, so that's reflected in-game.

Japanese Indy Leagues: These are still very much a WIP.

Minor contract mistake:

LAD Franklin Gutierrez is under contract in the game for one year at $535K when in reality he signed for one year at $2.6 million.

Thanks, fixed!

Vidal Nuno

Vidal Nuno's (BAL) contract seems to have the decimal out of place. He is earning $1.13M, not $11.3M.

FIXED IN POST 8

Sorting issues:
- The nation of Curacao still sorts last.

Height/weight:
- Yoslandy Pita (SS, Pinar del Rio) has wraparound height.
- Ryoma Nishikawa (3B, Hiroshima Ni-Gun) and Kota Nakagawa (RP, Yomiuri Ni-Gun) have weights of 70 lbs and 85 lbs respectively.

Age:
- Denis Quezada (RP, Matanzas) is listed as born in 991. It should obviously be 1991.

CANNOT BE FIXED BECAUSE OF GAME LIMITATIONS

Handedness:
- Pat Venditte (RP, Philadelphia) is listed as a RHP, we've been over this before, it isn't getting fixed any time soon.

NOT YET FIXED AS OF POST 8

Team names:
- The Arizona (DSL) Diamonbacks 2 typo still isn't fixed.

Player misc. info:
- The retired Howard Woolfolk player (RIP) apparently duplicated a real player in the database. His in-game ID is perez-003ram, which corresponds to Ramon Perez.

Nolan Arenado is listing as being in the second year of his $29.5m deal, but it actually begins this year:
2017: $11,750,000
2018: $17,750,000

Also, Don Mattingly is duplicated as a coach

There is a free agent Manager named David Peterson who is 1839 years old.

Just had a look at the Cubs system and it looks pretty good. I noticed a few things:

Caleb Smith LH RP AA Tennessee - he's a Rule-5 pick and needs to stay on the 25-man roster all year or be offered back to the Yankees.

Corey Black RH RP AA Tennessee - out for the year after elbow surgery.

Gioskar Amaya A Myrtle Beach - out for the year after knee surgery.

Edit 3/21: Addison Russell - his speed is way too low,

Blue Jays Notes

Joe Biagini (RP, TOR, MLB) has a curveball: http://www.brooksbaseball.net/tabs.p.../2017&s_type=2
Russell Martin (C, TOR, MLB) had 1 appearance at 3B in 2016, which is missing from his stats: http://www.baseball-reference.com/pl...fielding::none
Gregorio Petit played a little bit in the outfield last year and has no outfield ratings or left field experience.: http://www.baseball-reference.com/pl...fielding::none
Mike Reeves (C, TOR, A) played a few games at 3B last year, which are missing from his stats: http://www.baseball-reference.com/re...gi?id=a58767d1

I reviewed MiLB.com and it still shows the following 2 teams are Active:

DSL Orioles 2
DSL Red Sox 2

Don't show up in Standard Game. Maybe you have better info......

jwisenberg 03-20-2017 10:21 PM

Both teams are only fielding one dsl team this season. In fact the DSL schedules and divisions for 2017 were just posted on dominicansummerleague.com and it appears that the Yankees will only have 1 team as well.

Yankees

Matt Holliday does not have a no-trade clause. He can only block a trade to one team, the Oakland A's. For the sake of the game, he should not have a no-trade clause.

Also, knowing the Yankees system quite well, I believe some of their farm system should be thoroughly reevaluated.

nico1270 03-21-2017 12:50 AM

Dai-Kang Yang (Yomiuri Giants) is really Taiwanese. Born in, Taitung City, Taitung County, Taiwan.

Tony79 03-21-2017 04:56 AM

Pedro Alvarez is going to play outfield(badly) for Baltimore. He's not an infielder anymore.

Rusney Castillo only has a minor league contract. Is that right? I thought he was owed a lot of money.

I don't think we can set the no trade clause, the game automatically adds those.

I'm pretty sure that we're in the process of working on ratings for a few prospects and the Yankees guys should fall into that category.

I'm not going to remove Alvarez's IF skills, but added the ability to play OF.

Fixed Castillo.

Thanks for this!
