I'd Like To See OOTP Devs Make A Game Based On (Fill in the Blank)

To prevent all of these threads of this topic from being started and eventually having to be moved to off topic because they invariably devolve into talking about games by other developers, let's start one poll thread and just sticky it.

For now, I'll leave this thread unlocked for posting, but please keep discussion of other games to the off topic boards.

EDIT: Thread closed as it too went to games by other companies.

Not much point to start a new franchise while older ones no work properly yet either...

American football, Rugby and Cricket would all be cool. I'd say the chances of any of them being made is slim to none, but oh well.

Basketball, simply basketball

American Football, Basketball, Handball - In that order of preference for me.

I always wonder why no other company tries to make a Soccer sim though. So yeah Football Manager is 'the best' but it never changes and you can't customize it at all. Inagine a soccer sim built like OOTP it'd be pretty cool

You can customize it, but not very effectively. I'd like to be able to do historical leagues for one thing.

The Game 10-07-2013 03:46 PM

American football, basketball and racing. Would love to have the other 3 major sports in USA on Endor to go along with my EBL.. Racing just because I am terrible at any actual platform driving game. There are so many racing levels but a game with NASCAR, Indy & Formula 1 would be great.

MMA? Does the current fighting game show a punch and the sweat from a persons face go flying or is it just like OOTP? Boxing & MMA seem like something that can only be good with graphics, but I said the same thing about baseball and OOTP 3 years ago, I have lessened my stance on that one.

I like basketball, but I think GDS' basketball game does a fine job and will probably get better and more complex as the years go on.

Soccer would be cool -- FM is great but there's very little prospect of customization and no historical play. And it's such a huge game regardless of how you set it up. It needs some kind of sandbox mode or something.

Cricket is a similar deal -- ICC is fine; I guess OOTP would add more leagues and historical play would be cool.

My pick was Tennis. It has never been done and there's plenty of scope for customizability. I'd basically like to see it work like TBCB but be a bit more game-y and a bit like simulator-y. Like, less geared towards exhibitions.

I'd like to see pretty much any sport to be honest, I love sports in general and even if it's one that i'm not familiar with I'd take the time to learn it just to play games like this.
Well anything expect horseshoes, ping pong, bowling, billiards poker(do people really consider poker a sport?) Not that exciting for me to watch, or follow any pro leagues to begin with, simply only fun when I'm playing with friends.

IIRC it's now just called "Ultimate" for trademark reasons, but I'm just pedantic lol.

Voted for American Football & Basketball but first i would prefer to see FHM developed into it's full potential.

For me, it would definitely be soccer. FM is awful--too big, too unwieldy, too much STUFF. It seems more like a job than a game. It stopped being fun years ago. Unless you are 18-20 years old with absolutely no life outside of gaming, FM is utterly, completely, absolutely worthless.

Have you tried FM Classic? It is basically a stripped down version of the game.

With what's going on with FHM maybe they should just stick with baseball. They are very good with baseball, play to your strength.

FHM was never going to be as good as OOTP on the first try.
