A couple of things:
1) the links to fighter files that are given just produce a page of garbled characters and information 2) If Title Bout is more often than not the poorest prognosticator (and historically is dead last among the participants) is this worth all the effort put into it? I know that you put a lot of time into this Bear and I am sure that Paul appreciates it but you have a real challenge ahead to overcome the truly horrible historic performance percentages that you inherited. Have we met the exception to the rule that no press is bad press? |
I originally thought this was a pretty good idea, and figured it could only get better if a longtime user was at the helm. When even Bear can't improve the results then Chris might be right. That being said, I've always thought it was a mistake to include some of these young fighters who have so little data to base a profile on. Tough enough with veteran boxers who have an extensive track record.

Personally I'm a big fan of this, but must admit to only glancing at results occasionally.
Sorry not too sure here, but if referring to the download links, they seem to work for me, went back to ninth week of challenge and they worked too. Yeah I can see the impossible task of raising the games standing in the years rankings, but there are the monthly ones to aim for. Bear is doing a great job here, the only thing I might have picked up on is some of the official ratings (which are all excellent) are dated when it comes to this type of thing and bear might need the freedom to tweak them to suit. The Frampton-Cazares prediction, then checking their official ratings, 6-8 - gave Cazares 89 wins. I'm sure you'd have had a hard job finding anybody who picked Cazares, Frampton was a huge favourite going into that one. That's just one that caught my attention. I could be wrong, but I think this might help. |
I appreciate the feed back, guys.
I'll keep plugging away. |
