Auto save folder

my OOTP 16 was running great until this morning i downloaded the newest update 16.11.43 and i couldn't get it to run correctly. after two tried when it said it wasn't loaded right, i reloaded my 16.09.39 file i had saved. Had some issue with that also. So uninstalled the game, and reinstalled 16.09.39. brought my league back with restore. Redownloaded the ballbacks and face gen. files.

everything seemed to be working correctly until i tried to save a backup of the game after i simed 2 months. i keep getting this error box:

"Error moving league files to the "auto save" folder!
The Auto Save function could not move one or more of the .dat files to the auto save folder.
Please delete the files in the auto save folder manually to fix this problem."

all i need do is click OK and the files seem to save themselves, but why am i getting this error and what do i do about it?

Tried to put this is the technical area, but said i didn't have permissions.

thanks for any help.

seems i was manually deleted the auto-save folder where i was saving. Deleted the external drive folder, copied and pasted the auto save file from my C drive and saved perfectly to my external. Not certain what was happening, but seems to be OK now ......

Hi mitchkenn,

I have the same exact issue, except my game ended up crashing and became corrupt too. I am pretty PO'd right now because I was at the 2018 FA class and it was insanely deep.

I was hoping you could explain more to me about how you went about fixing this issue. I went into my 'auto save' folder and manually deleted everything, but it didn't help at all. I'm not sure how to do this part:

"Deleted the external drive folder, copied and pasted the auto save file from my C drive and saved perfectly to my external. Not certain what was happening,"

Could you help me please?
