Steam version available

Save 25% on Franchise Hockey Manager 2 on Steam

Now where is the OOTP version for non-steam users!

Sebastian Palkowski 09-28-2015 01:26 PM

That is what we waited for. Preparing the non-Steam version + newsletter now, should be available soon!

Have already started the game.:)

Any reason to choose the steam version over the version from the ootp website?

No, you should buy from us instead if possible. You will get patches earlier and als support us because we do not have to give Steam its bigger cut ;)

tward13 09-28-2015 01:37 PM

I wouldn't get it from steam even if it was $10 cheaper there.

If OOTP16 is an indication, patches come quicker on the non-steam version. Also, no need to constantly be connected to the internet to play the non-steam version. Nice for travelers.

No, there is no coupon. The price is already the discounted one. It is USD $29.99 instead of $39.99 this week. In Canadian Dollar or other currencies it gets converted automatically.

I directly bought the game thinking it was a good idea supporting you guys etc. I like to have my games organized in one program, therefore I bought it on Steam. What do you mean with that the website buyers will get patches earlier? How much earlier? I really don't like this...

Steam has to approve of patches and such before they go live.. It's not a huge wait, but maybe a day or two.

It just takes a few hours to a day or so to get them on Steam. We can publish the patch here as soon as it's ready, but it's a slightly slower process getting it live on Steam.

Ok, if there's only that much of a delay it'd be ok with me. I just thought that there would be several days between the patching of both versions...
