Is it a custom league or did you edit real world?
|
Custom league, Alessandro ...
somewhat edited all players, coaches, and FA's ... but only edited and not every single detail on coaches and FA's ... Players by and large are edited 90% in detail .. and 75% reserve roster, 55-60% FA and 40% coach details |
Did you set a foreigner limit? Can you actually do it?
Too bad that we can't create such leagues in the "real world", but just custom |

but AI is not set-up to follow that set-up as I understand ... that is what Jeff is lookign into i think .. to see how the saved game reacts to such a custom set-up .. where there are clubs outside the set country of the league (for me it is Germany) so I set it at allowing 14 foreigners .. as 6 should be 'national' .. but not working .. I also might want to change it to allowing only 5 non-EU players... waiting to see what is up |
TEAM BY TEAM OVERVIEW
Berlin Berserker Coach: Patrick Lavoie of Canada, offensive Roster: Proficient line-up, skilled wingers and centers and top goalie, strong adequate defenders who are more potential than production Tactics: offensive, non-physical. 1 line: pwr forward, speedy forward, 2way forward, blueline: point shooter/shutdown defender Bern Altitudes Coach: Nicolas Luginbuhl of Switzerland, offensive Roster: John Heusi is a star amongst his peers and the rest of the roster is loaded with offensive players, goalie is a highly skilled player, but also has clear weaknesses at the same time, hit miss with him Tactics: offensive, non-physical high shooting, high tempo with a mix of 2way, grinding and sniping forwards Dusseldorf Juggernauts Coach: Anton Pirhonen of Finland, standard Roster: A roster set-up with nice quality, but perhaps too top heavy especially at the blue liner roster, offset however with quality youth guys Tactics: offensive, non-physical,Shutdown and Rushers and Danglers and garbage collectors laod the first line with a more two way forwards manning the second line Frankfurt Excaliburs Coach: Daniel Stumpf of Germany, offensive Roster: Sound roster, with many shooters, but could use a playmaker to make things open up more Tactics: offensive, balanced, full of perimeter shooters and snipers, 1 line center is a perimeter shooter with the 2nd line being grinder and the 3rd a speedy forward Centers are Graz LionForce Coach: Jiri Beran of Czechia, offensive Roster: A roster with exciting players and style, but not sufficient at the center position Tactics: balanced, non-physical. Speed and aggresive forwards with pushing defenders Strasbourg Pharaohs Coach: Nathan Pichette of Canada, offensive Roster: A mix of overachievers and overrated youth guys, but actually may provide for a well mixed squad and skill overall Tactics: defensive, non-phyiscal. Speed and athletic team with two-way defenders and offensive wingers Stockholm Artic Storm Coach: Eerik Joutsen of Finland, defensive Roster: Swedish base gives the team a nice base of players as well as neighboring country and its Finnish countrymen. Here are the best skaters on each team, except Wolfsburg... Wolfsburg top two lines are really so close, and no one is near the talent differential as their goalie... so he is presented

That said, it's just my opinion, I have no clue in understanding if this would be complicated and/or time spending. My guess, though, is that we will hardly see any improvement to the way this kind of rules are customizable in the game for now, as I guess very few people would be interested in this kind of editing. I think that we can just wait for FHM6 to have more options opened. I would also love to be able to edit teams' budgets, to tune finances, have more impact of this kind of things within a league. I would like to expand the KHL, but I stopped because teams act in a weird way, like signing no domestic players, and we also can't edit teams budgets. In short, we can either have a NHL2 via custom leagues or having a bad KHL. Already having a chance to edit affiliations in the KHL would go a long way, hopefully we'll get it before FHM6. |

Yup! Think with the NHL license we can assume that more goes into that aspect .. thus NHL basic construction of game tools and engines… I didn't have any of the first seven ootp's .. so I have no idea how the process took for that one… (and ootp never had licenses so went in depth in to customization …) .. so … yeah… I wish it was as customizable as ootp .. also with player metrics and league profiles, etc |
December 11th Update

A look at the league, december 11
Zurich got their line-up in order after an injury and some promotions and they are rolling on offense with two leading in assists and in the top 3 in points, but are stagnant in the standings... Stockholm is in the top three in both Power play and power Kill and have the 2nd and 3rd goalies in Save percentage!!!! Frankfurt is ranked 5th on defense, 9th in scoring offense, BUT #2 in power play percentage |
A look at the best

The season is getting towards he home stetch with a month and a half to go on the hockey year...
The standings have been quite static as if divided as top 4, next 4 amd bottom 2 .. Let's take a look at the top teams and see what is keeping them atop ... and maybe who has the championship make-up .. READERS: feel free to comment on who you think is tops/most impressive Let's get the first and most obvious away ... Frankfurt Excaliburs... They are ranked right in the middle on almost everything, so they are likely a consistent team, but not really involved in the championship hunt. They lack a playmaker, and it shows, as they have the shooters to score, and score they do on the power play, but it seems they struggle to score outside the power play based on their 9th ranked scoring offense Strasbourg and Wolfsburg actually look a lot alike with really nice balance With the only differences being that wolfsburg is weak on special teams (PP%/PK%) .. ranking in the lower half there Strasbourg is quite solid on special teams, but their achilles heel appears to be, despite a goalie leading the league in save percentage, shots allowed. . Italian Goalie Bacher is standing strong, but good thing! Strasbourg would be lowly on defense if it wasn't for their league leader between the pipes Stockholm is defense! goalie! and special teams! Top three in both special teams percentages and defense.. Outside of special teams, the offense has produced less than championship production, but two of the teams goalies, that is two, is second and third in the league in save percentage... Playoffs come down to goalie play! .. All are rather strong, but Strasbourg and Stockholm seem to be crowns of the bunch |

League overview .. just before Xmas ..
With a little more than a month remaining in the season .. The top 4 remain static, but Berlin is on the move up .. After being on the bottom all year Dusseldorf moves up after getting some really nice results .. Indeed, both Dusseldorf and Salzburg have been getting points in December and both pass Graz LionForce who fall to last, |
