Version 3.0.76 Hotfix Now Available
A hotfix for Franchise Hockey Manager 3, version 3.0.76, has just been released.
To apply the update: -If you are playing the eSellerate version, just download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. -If you are playing the Steam version, the game will auto-update if you have that option active. If you don't see the update in your Steam update queue, you may need to exit and restart your Steam client. Download link for PC: Main server: PC Installer Download link for Mac: Main Server: Mac Installer As we began work on the next update, we discovered a serious schedule problem that would, effectively, prevent games from being played past 2033 if the Russian VHL was active. We didn't want to leave it like that until the next update was ready, so we're releasing this very small update to fix the problem. The fix will work retroactively, existing games can be continued with no problems as long as they haven't yet reached 2033 with the VHL active. A handful of other changes had already been made, so they're in as well. The entire list is: -scheduling bug with VHL fixed -crash when only the top 2 Finnish leagues are active fixed -inability to hire a head coach under certain circumstances fixed -during games, the tactical role popup will now indicate exactly which roles are major and minor counters to the opposing tactic, using the same red/yellow bar indicators as on the lines screen. |
Do we have to install the FHM3 maintenance update, v. 3.0.74 before?

The section Sebastian mentioned:
A team's tactical roles determine how well it can execute a particular tactic, but they may also provide effective counters to an opponent's tactic. While on the Strategy screen (both pregame and while play is underway), players whose roles are particularly good at disrupting an opponent's tactics are marked as either major (red bar) for the most effective counters, or minor (yellow bar) for the next-most-effective ones. Changing player roles to add more counters will reduce the opponent's tactical effectiveness, potentially winning back the tactical advantage. Be careful, however, not to sacrifice too much of your player's fit for their roles - if you gain a bunch of red bars at the loss of many "dots" of role fit scores, that may not be a good tradeoff. |
