also KD and Kawhi on the Clips maybe?

Why do all the top names in FA begin w/"K"? If I have a son, I'm naming him Kobra Mgr Jr.

Valanciunas is also set to re-up with Memphis on a 3-year, $45 million deal. First impressions are that it's an overpay based on what I know about his fit in modern NBA, but he did supposedly average about 20/11 in 20 games with the Grizz after the Gasol deal.

Oh, and Mirotic surprisingly turns down an opportunity at a big contract to go play for Barcelona as well.

rudel.dietrich 06-30-2019 05:05 PM

Durant, Irving and DeAndre Jordan are going to the Nets

TheMaus2 06-30-2019 05:06 PM

Well, it looks like KD is signing with the nets, which feels like the official end for the Knicks and their run as the #1 team in New York

I read where this is a big one year deal and has an NBA 'out' where he can sign with a team once Barcelona is out of all competitions.
Meaning Mirotic can come back over in March-April for a playoff run.

Sharman is one of only 4 people inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame as both a player and coach along with John Wooden, Lenny Wilkens and Tommy Heinsohn.

If the latter two rumors are true, then NBA tampering rules are a joke.

Cobra Mgr 06-30-2019 05:27 PM

I continue to be perplexed that people believed the Knicks would be the destination of any FA who had his pick of spots. All along, it seemed more like wishful thinking by the media than any logical insight.

Shockingly, the Knicks are getting no one of consequence

Your just now realizing that?

Middleton and Lopez are going back to Milwaukee long term. Brogdon is unknown at this time.

Lilard signs a huge contract with the Blazers

Reddick lands another lucrative contract, this time with the Pelicans for two years.

Dwight Powell back in Dallas for 3 years and 33 million

Millsap exercises his option and will stay in Denver

Derrick Rose takes a two year deal with Detroit

Really intrigued by Indiana's guard corps now that they have Brogdon and Lamb

Looks like a sign and trade, so the Bucks did not lose him for nothing.

It's been a splendid offseason for New Orleans and it just keep getting better. They're also about to sign EuroLeague star Nicoḷ Melli to a two year deal. The Pelicans are going to whoop ass and take names next season.

Mavs sign Porzingis to a 5 year, $158 million deal. Big investment in a fragile talent. If he stays healthy, KP, Doncic and Powell will give Dallas a quality front line. I hope the Mavs can bring back Maxi Kleber as he's another good, young piece to the puzzle.

I have said this for a bit. There is nothing exciting about the Knicks unless you want to play in the biggest market. The Nets have more things going on.
