Expected Championship Count
In my fiction league, my franchise has had the best record in baseball for 67 years running (I still attribute it to turning former players, especially Hall-of-Famers, into coaches).
What would you expect the championship count to be? I think we're underperforming. Playoffs are three rounds; a five-game divisional series, seven-game LCS, and seven-game World Series, if that factors into your assessment. |
What do you expect? If they underperform as players, they will coach the players to underperform.

I guess my expectation is that the best team in baseball should win the World Series about 2/3 of the time--but thinking about MLB history, I suppose that's not the case.

There is something to be said for building teams for the playoffs. I can see a team with an ace and four really solid pitchers winning 110 games in a season. However, a team with two aces and one solid pitcher in a seven-game series may be better built to win that series.

I as being facetious in my previous post.

I would expect the team to reach the World Series about 30-35 times over the 67 years, winning about 20 titles
