Questions regarding historical mode
 

Hi all, first of all I really enjoy the game. Its my favorite simulation game ever.

I have a question regarding the historical mode.

Lets say I want to start at the year 2006 and play up until 2019. What do I need to check at the beginning of the game to do a draft and ufa each year?

Example, I play with Montreal and instead of Price I would like to draft another player, is it possible or the players will automatically be added to their respective team at the end of each year? I dunno what I did, but I started in 2006 and Price(drafter in 2005) wasnt on my protection list but was available in the free agency centre but not signable, such as Droughty, Wheeler, etc.

The only change from the defaults you need to make is turning Draft Rookies/Generate Rookies at 17 turned on. That'll allow you to re-draft every year; if it's off, the players will appear on the team that first owned their rights in the year they were first owned.

But it looks like I've made a mistake in Price's data that's causing him to appear as a free agent in 2005 and 2006, and not as part of the Canadiens until 2007. I'll fix that, but in the meantime you'd need to edit his rights to Montreal in commissioner mode to get him in the right place if you're starting in 2006.
