Announcing the web-based Jersey Maker!

Following up on my Park Generator and Capmaker utilities, I bring you...

JERSEYMAKER

http://i.imgur.com/oEMk1r4.jpg

It's very similar to the Capmaker in terms of how it operates, but there's a lot more you can do with it. There are a bunch of different elements and options, and you can customize all of them.

You can upload your own images, and I've added the ability to selectively remove and replace colors in your uploaded images.

The app also comes with a selection of custom fonts (the same fonts are available in Capmaker), and you can warp the text in a number of different ways.

As with the Capmaker, this app is heavily inspired by justafan's terrific Jersey Creator - this has the advantage of being platform-independent, since it can run in a browser.

There may well be some bugs in there, so if you come across anything please let me know.

You're Awesome, bud. Just ;like the rest of those in the community that do such things. They are such a HUGE help. :)

I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, etc. Is crying tears of happiness acceptable? Thank you so much for your contribution, I look forward to testing it out!

One word... Superb!

Is anybody else having the problem that the elements of the jersey don't line up correctly? Here's what I mean:

I can't even blame my crappy old laptop, since it finally bought the farm and I have a brand-new loaner.

I haven't seen that happen before - what OS/Browser combo are you using?

Works great, thanks for putting this out there for us to use.

Windows 8, Google Chrome. I checked, and it works fine in Firefox, so it must be a Chrome issue.

munstermash 10-20-2015 03:56 PM

I think there might be an issue with changing font size or i am just not figuring it out.

munstermash 10-20-2015 03:57 PM

Nevermind, it is me.

Thanks for sharing this with us.

Are they going to STICKY your Cap, Jersey and Stadium creators?

It's dropping back to a default font for some reason - do the fonts appear to show up properly in the drop-down menu?

Also, what browser and OS?

Ok, I figured it out, I was using the arc and had to switch to straight/flat to change the font.

Hmm. You shouldn't have to do that - it's supposed to go back to flat, change the font, and then reapply the distortion automatically (at least, it does for me when I try it).

But...uh...as long as you have a workaround, hooray! ;)

Is there a tutorial on this because I'm having problems. Every time I go to change the text like to Arched or something, it goes in to "working mode" and never comes out of it. I have sat there for 10 minutes watching the wheels spin but nothing happens.

Also, when I upload an image of a jersey I created for editing all the options for everything are still on default. It doesn't load up what I used to create the jersey, just the image and the only thing I can edit is the text, but then what I explained above happens.

MAC version 10.9.5 32 gb ram ddr3 3.2 ghz intel core

It's not you, it's the host. A lot of the text effects rely on the PHP ImageMagick module which my host seems to have removed without explanation. The same thing will happen if you upload an image and try to use any of the color replace/remove shortcuts. I haven't had a chance to open up a ticket yet with them, however.

There's no way of loading an entire jersey and editing it - although it is something I'd like to add at some point. When you're uploading a jersey, all that JerseyMaker sees is a single image. If you uploaded it as a custom layer, it just sits there. If you uploaded it as a logo, you can use the super-basic tools in the "Images" section. Well, you can if I can get the aforementioned ImageMagick thing sorted out...

Thanks eriqjaffe. I'm glad it's not the MAC. I use Firefox btw. I did create two jerseys when I found this product yesterday and as long as I don't do anhything like try to change the text it works. Obviously though I don't want all my jerseys looking the same. Hopefully you can get it worked out.
