Season Start date
 

With the draft done, and free agency here in a few days, it got me thinking. At this point, I consider the 2014/2015 season in the books and don't really see any point in going back and playing through it. Surely the game won't be released until sometime in July (but almost surely before October....). So is there any chance we can have the option to start the game on July 1, 2015? We will know who made it to free agency so the rosters could maybe be updated with all the draft picks gained and free agents lost. Then we take it from there and sign our free agents and build our rosters for the coming season.

I hope the Fictional Leagues get an early start date because a lot of the time in the past version of FHM teams would have incomplete rosters come opening day.

This has been talked about before, the game will start in 2014/15 and then once the new season officially begins, they'll release a patch to update the game to the 2015/16 season rosters. FHM 3 won't be until next year for the 2016/17 season.

So if it's really that much of an issue to want new rosters right away instead, you may as well just wait until the update comes in September or October to buy it.

I believe the decisions on what rosters to release are still being finalized but I believe the plan was to have FHM 2 ship with 2014 and 2015 season start dates.. Or at the very least, as mentioned, having it come out in a patch shortly after.

I think one of the reasons for asking for a July 1st start date is to allow for pre-game editing.


I'd like to know if we will have the ability to fully edit new game rosters or will we only have the option on July 1st of the following start year.

You are no longer limited by being able to only edit rosters on a single date like was the case in FHM 2014.

If the FHM crew can sort out how the enforcers and agitators distinguish themselves in the game my two biggest "smaller" aspects of the game but "larger" to me and my long term outlook will have me selling my soul sooner rather than later.......... =)

Yes if they can just turn it back on for 2014 version or just release a Roster file as of July 1st,

The game will truly be tested once I start editing.
