New Player Player Photos
 

Hi I'd like for someone to point me in the direction of a Player photo site and Face Gen site that alot of people use for the seasons 1920 through to 2020.

The number of choices is daunting and I don't want to re-discover the more popular sites well into my season. I am sure there are quite a few good ones but then again even fewer better ones that the pros around here know. Thanks

Does this include all the players from 1920's to 2020 .I must have all my player pics.

Thanks makes it easy but I have to ask is there somewhere with more exact teams the players are on? For example played a NYY vs DET 1961 and most of Det had hat logos from other teams.

Ceej has created photo packs by season for 1947-2005.

Thanks have Ceej already problem is his team photos end in 2005. Now I need 2006-2018 (2019 if yet available)

I think cheech's photo pack has multiple photos of the same player wearing different caps. If you go into the player editor, you can select one of the other photos. Or am I confused? ;)

Correct same players wearing different caps which is a problem.

But you can go into the editor and choose a picture of the same player wearing the correct hat. Right? :huh:

Probably, though I don't think I want to undertake that task because it would be tremendous since so many players are wearing the wrong hats.

I still looking for more complete player photo lists.

Is it possible to get past and present seasons with Face-Gen players?

If you're using the Steam version, you can download the historical facegen pack from Steam Workshop. Go to the OOTP start screen and click on Workshop Central. Subscribe to the Historical Facegens mod.

Why are some of the player photos not displaying when they are the same size, and format (name,underscore etc.) as the others that are displaying?

Someone reported an issue with using real player photos. It has to do with the size of the photos. A bug report was filed just a day or two ago.

Because they are not transferring to the correct folder or pulling from the person pictures folder mentioned below...
Most likely what your seeing is that they show correctly for all things except the player profile pics.
I reported it, but till it gets fixed, here's a work around:

Go to your saved game\news\html\Images folder & you'll see 2 folders named person pictures and profile pictures.
Open the profile pictures and delete all but the default_profile_picture.png.
Open the person pictures folder and copy all but the default_player_photo.png to the profile pictures folder.
Restart ootp.
Now they should all show everywhere they're needed.
Hope this helps.
Note: profile pictures can be no larger than 90x135. In the past we could use higher res. photos 170x255, but not now.
170x255 will work for the player cards and baseball cards, etc., but not for the pic (Profile Pictures) that shows on the player's profile page.:(

Where there seems to be the most trouble displaying player photos is not so much the main playing screen (field display screen) but the "substitution" and "bullpen" screens. Those players don't always display until they are brought into the game and onto the main screen after re-starting the game.

Update:
Just tried this again with latest patch and all seems to be fine now. So you can disregard my previous post.
I put my 213x320 (the size you get from mlb.com) pics in ootp's photos folder and ootp correctly pulled them from the person pictures folder and auto resized them to 90x135.:D

Have you tried the "substitution" and "bullpen" pages for player photo display?
