Introducing OTE v1 (OOTP Text Editor)

OOTP Baseball 2006 comes with it's very own editable commentary file and 3rd party developer Rob Craig brings you the first release of his new tool, OTE, which puts the creation of your own commentary in your hands!

Finally finding the time and inclination to tackle this project and using this excellent utility has proved a godsend. Great work Rob. I should have been doing this a long time ago!

Don't be afraid of this guys, it's really simpler than it looks. See something you'd prefer different? Right-click, Edit, Change it, Save icon. That simple. Good stuff.

yea, i love this thing as well.

some upgrades would be great, ie. a search function to find specific phrases

Am I correct in assuming that this will work with OOTP2007?

I'm not seeing the download link on that link anymore. . .

Craig's OTE Utility

When I click on this link, I get a number of choices, including general setup for the 2007 game. Where do I find the link to download just Craig's PBP editing utility?

Having just purchased the game, I cannot find the link for this either. Anyone?

In OOTP 2007 it's done differently than in the old game. So the program wouldn't work, because it's handled differently.

Anyway, OTE can be downloaded here...

It would be great if this utility could be upgraded to work with v10 when it's released. This was an outstanding tool that was underused and underrated.

I agree with you. A couple of years ago, I sent PMs to the creator of this utility, inquiring about an upgrade. He never replied, even though he occasionally signed in to the forums.

For those interested, I am currently working on an online text editor for OOTP.
