NIBA openings - 70s league w/ live sims, full minors, historical NPB + more
 

The NIBA is approaching its 10th season and looking for an owner to take over the San Diego Padres. We're winding down the 1973 season, so this is a great time to get in before the offseason starts.

The Padres are coming off of a 90+ win season in 1972 but have taken a slight step back in 1973 at 47-59. They're still absolutely loaded with elite young players behind 5 star hitters Dave Parker and Sixto Lezcano, and 5 star SP prospect Ed Halicki (http://www.nibabaseball.com/news/htm.../team_273.html). They should have a top-10 pick in an approaching draft that has some really nice talent up top.

We're a very active league with our own Slack setup, live sims each sim (great plugin by Stats+ does a live update in a Slack channel with HR alerts, final scores, no-hitter updates, etc. as the games are simmed plus a separate box score page that updates as the games are played inning by inning with everyone watching in real time), a real-life *** league that we bring Japanese players over from each year, full real-life minors, and much more.

Niba is a great active league I would recommend to anyone who would listen. Garrett is always helpful to new and old owners and there is a wealth of knowledge with current owners as well.

Is this an annual rating recalc league or using the ootp talent development engine?

Good question! OOTP talent development engine only once guys are in the league, there's no recalc on existing players.

Any plans of going to ootp19 anytime soon?

Yep, probably won't be on game release because I usually like to let a few patches come out before I roll a league into that version, but we'll be going to 19 eventually.

We're in 18 still but will be changing to OOTP19 after the next season.

Bump, looking for SD and KC owners. We've just hit the amateur draft so a good time to get in. We'll be moving to OOTP19 after the current year is complete.
