Data Error Report Thread
 

Rather than a bunch of separate threads, I'd like to keep any data corrections in one place so it's easier to make sure nothing slips by. So, if you come across any player, league, or team data that's inaccurate, please post here. Keep in mind, of course, that the ratings are subjective, so factual inaccuracies are a lot more likely to get addressed than "Player X isn't good enough," but the research team will take a look at anything that's reported here.

Bill Gadsby defenseman with the Black Hawks and Rangers back in the 1950s.

Each of his seasons is appearing twice which is doubling his season and career totals. This is carrying forward to the team leader boards where he is listed as Rangers record holder for assists in a season which is incorrect.

Thanks, I'll fix that. Not sure how it happened, but a handful of retired players had their histories doubled or tripled somehow. Tom Lysiak was the all-time NHL points leader for a while in beta.

I have a game where a player on a QJMHL team is available for the OHL draft. It was started prior to the last patch.

EDIT : The player is Xavier Bernard, on Drummondville in my game. He's not the only one in this situation (3 Q players, 1 W player). I'm not sure of much of a data issue it is.

Says Rasmus Dahlin, Frölunda, is born in Los Angeles, CA, USA. IRL born in Trollhättan, SWE
And should be born on the 13th of March, not the 14th.
(Atleast according to Wikipedia and Eliteprospects.com)

We just fixed it yesterday, it'll be in the next update; the save will still work after that.

I'm not seeing anything immediately noticeable with Bernard that might be causing that. Can you tell me the other three Q players that are showing up OHL draft eligible so I can try tracking down a commonality? Thanks.

They had (incorrect) Ontario birthplaces. I fixed the data a while back and Malte made a change to the CHL draft eligibility to keep this from happening.

actually, i'm noticing that all the contracts are not correct, is it intended or just something that is generated every game?

Yeah, the contracts in historical are generated at the start of the game, they're not the actual contracts the player had at that time (historical contract data, once you go back more than a few years, is very difficult to find.) But we should have a check in the contract generation system to give guys approximately correct ELC/RFA status, I'll see if there's anything we can improve there.
