Special Rules & Settings: The league allows full (negative or positive) financial balances to carry over every year without owner interference. This is a scouting league, using 2-8 ratings without a star system.
Currently Available Teams: San Diego Padres

This is a great, very immersive scouts-on league that has been around since May of 2010. Having been in existence for 3 real-life years and 10 sim years of history and rivalries, the league has a fantastic group of core owners, and is looking for a few more to round out the open teams before our move to OOTP14. We are currently in the midst of 2020 Spring Training.

The sim schedule is unique from most leagues in that the NuEBL has action happening every night of the week - just like the MLB. With the length of the sims being only 3 days long, the NuEBL enables you to closely follow and manage your team throughout the rigors of a 162-day baseball season. As you'll find out, a lot of our GMs are very involved in their teams and the level of competition is very high. It is a great opportunity to test your GM skills against some very experienced OOTP vets.

The league is very punctual on its sims and have exemplary off-season and draft scheduling. The commissioner and simmers have not missed a sim since November 2012!

OOTP 14 Update: After this season (2020) of OOTP 13, we will switch to the new version of OOTP.

This is a great league with a core of solid GMs, many of whom have been with the league for more than 24 months (real time). Sims are daily and reliable and there is the opportunity to get really immersed with the scouting and coaching options turned on.

If you take on a team in this league I would be prepared to spend a reasonable amount of time on the league - probably not suited to GMs who have teams in 5 leagues.

As we complete 2017 and move into 2018, PHI is the only open team. PHI is a solid organisation capable of making a run for the pennant in 2018.

St Louis is in need of a new GM. Please apply via the website (nuebl.com).

2018 season is about to start and STL has the first two picks in the amateur draft so a good opportunity to rebuild the franchise (although a lot of work will be required). I would suggest that this is a job for an experienced online GM (preferably with experience in online scouting leagues) rather than a greenhorn.

A bit about St Louis in the NuEBL:

• weak at MLB level (mainly cheap FAs being used) - 1B Anthony Rizzo being the main exception.
• first two picks in the 2018 amateur draft.
• some quality prospects, including C Toby Miller, LH SP Eduardo Acevedo, LF Jose Juarez and 1B Tim Burton.

Currently in debt, but that should be cleared by the end of 2018 giving St Louis a chance to bid seriously on some FAs for 2019.

Brewers are open. A quality team and favourite for the NL Central pennant. Apply through the website.

Brian is still around.

The draft is underway and Brewers have picks 30 and 33 in the first round.

MIL and WAS open.

The Brewers are a very competitive franchise that were in the playoffs last year.

The Nationals are solid (probably a .500 team), have a bunch of good players but need a good GM to fill-in the remaining holes.

Looking for a committed Nationals owner. They aren't one of the marquee franchises, but they have a lot of high-round draft picks coming in this draft, and they have some pieces to build around.

The Los Angeles Angels are available. Please apply if you're interested. It's a very immersive league, given every day sims.

Padres are currently open. The Padres are currently leading the very competitive NL West at the end of June.

It looks like we will be upgrading to OOTP 14 at the end of the month. There are a few openings if you are interested in getting on board before the switch.
