HOF Custom Feature Request - Add an Old-Timer

I probably have a lot of customizing requests, but one I wish I had right now is this one: the ability to add an old-timer or two to the HOF (well, coaches, too, but I can live without that right now).

Case in point, one of my favorite players on my team when my team was in its dynasty period. The guy is cornerback and punt return extraordinaire Rickey Howe. Among his highlights during a four-championship run over his career with us was this: he is currently 4th all-time in interceptions and pass defense percentage and 2nd all-time in punt return yards and TDs.

The league is now in 2068, but he should have been elected somewhere around the late 2040s or early 2050s. There are 27(!!!) CBs in the HOF, but this guy is not one?!?

What did this guy do? Let Rickey in!

This doesn't directly have anything to do with customization. It's an "add player to HOF" button, which would work regardless of the league structure.
