20-years of MLB Manager

Started a historical season in 1939 and have just completed my 20th season in 1959. New York Yankees have won six World Series (1939, 1942, 1943, 1946, 1955 and 1958). The Cleveland Indians won four straight (1950-53).
Johnny Mize was a beast. After retiring in 1955 (all with the St. Louis Cardinals), he finishes as the career leader in home runs (667), RBIs (2218),runs (2103), hits (3557), and walks (1797).
Lefty Grove is the top pitcher with 329 wins. Billy Pierce is the only other 300 game winner at 301 with Warren Spahn coming on with 295.
Because of free agency, players bounce around. Ted Williams has played for the Cards, Yankees (boo!), the Orioles (twice) and the Cubs. Hank Aaron is with the Dodgers; Roberto Clemente with the Cards; Frank Robinson the Tigers and Ernie Banks Pittsburgh (Mr. Pirate?).
Anyway, it's been a lot of fun.

One of the best things about this game is how well it simulates real stats. I love watching the great players retire and seeing their realistic stats. I once looked at 100 years of a fictional league in iOOTP 2013 and the Hall of Fame looked like a real HOF with impressive HR and win leaders, etc., and a good mix of players at different positions. The only flaw was the number of relievers with superhuman save totals, when in real life only a few relievers have made the hall of fame.

All-Stars

I anticipate seeing the new All Stars after every season. My historical league has the expected (Joe DiMaggio, Jimmy Foxx, Bob Feller). But I got a couple unusual. Marius Russo inducted in 1953 with 243 wins. Van Mungo is in the Hall despite a career losing record (201-207). Mickey Rocco is another.

Did you manage a team or did was this run as completely computer controlled?

I play as the New York\San Francisco Giants. I play out almost every game, simming the ends of most blowouts.
