Arena League Baseball: Rebooted and Looking for GM's
 

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Welcome to Arena League Baseball!

A revolutionary new OOTP League that has been rebooted from its larval state to be a full 32-team league.

Rules are as follows:
Coaches: Off
Scouts: On
Salary Cap: $180 Million
Players/Teams: Fictional
Actual Ratings: Off
Potential Ratings: 1-100
Other Ratings: 1-100
Octual Overall Ratings: Off
Overall Potential: Stars
Active Roster size: 22-man Roster
Use of Relievers: Normal (Stoppers are available)
Expanded Roster Size: Rule Disable (No September Call-ups)

The ALB will be split into two subleagues, each with 4 divisions consisting of 4 teams:

Smash League
SL East
SL North
SL South
SL West

Bash League
BL East
BL North
BL South
BL West

All 4 division winners will advance to the playoffs with 4 Wildcard teams from each league to take place in a very interesting playoff format:

1st Round - Elimination Derby: 5 games
2nd Round - Decisional Derby: 7 games
3rd Round - League Derby: 9 games
4th Round: SMASHATHON: 9 games

The ALB will have 6 minor leagues:
1 AAA
1 AA
A+
A
A-
Rookie league

Arena League Baseball also has One very interesting twist:
Ballparks will be standardized to an "Arena" format:

Ballpark dimensions will be set to 200-215-220-225-220-215-200 and 50-Foot wall height For all Parks with ballpark factors set to the following:

Average L/R: 1.200
Doubles: 0.700
Triples: 0.200
Homeruns L/R: 2.000

This allows for increased batting averages and increased homerun output, leaving for greater strategy over defense and pitching style.
