Free OOTP 8 crashing like crazy
 

I just downloaded the free version of OOTP 8 to test it out, see if I was interested enough to possibly buy it. However, it's been crashing like crazy. If I do certain things sometimes - say, click on a roster button or try to sim a day - it just crashes like that. Recently I set up a whole fictional league, did an inaugural draft, set up my rosters (and luckily saved it beforehand), but when I try to sim any period of time, it suddenly crashes. No error message from OOTP, it just freezes and windows tells me that it's "stopped working." As I said, it doesn't seem to have a pattern - in one game when it crashes when I look for the rosters but is fine for simming days, in another game vice versa. Is this something that can be fixed, or am I screwed? Thank you!
