Historical position changes
 

Does the game recognize positional changes of historical players? For instance Pete Rose was a RF-3B-2B-1B. Does this app recognize player position regression or changes?

Not to that degree. I have seen players like Garvey and Mark McGwire move to 1B after starting their career at their drafted position (3B) but I do not recall an instance where a player became that diversified, without using the editor.

I'm late to answer this, but no. Frank Chance never went to first base. He stayed a catcher. No Tinkers to Evers to Chance. However, you can always change their primary position through the editor.
