The PadresFan OOTP10 Mod Thread

Hey everyone -

Jazzrack and myself are back for another year of hosting OOTP Mods for the OOTP Community. If you use Twitter, please click the link in my sig to follow me, as that is where I announce new Mods as they are added.

I've already updated my Ballpark Pack for the new New York ballparks, but I am still waiting on someone to provide a 2009 Photopack that I can host. We are also working on updating the "All-In-One" Mods from last year (available in-game in Add Ons Central), but can't complete them until there is a photopack we can use. In the meantime, I have simply renamed the 2008 All-In-One Mods to 2009 so that when the game ships, people have something to use until an update is ready.

I've been told by Steve that all the mods I hosted for OOTP9 available from Add Ons Central will work with OOTP10. This includes the All-In-One Mods, Photo Packs, Logo Packs, etc. Of course they will all need some updating for 2009, and I'm sure this will happen shortly after the game releases.

And a reminder, all of the mods hosted on my website are compatible with both the Windows and Mac versions of OOTP10.

Check the All-in-one thread in the beta section, I have a link to an updated photo pack there. It has about 600 or so new guys and all that were in a ML camp have correct pics. If you can't find the post there, I can PM it to you!

I'm not a part of the beta team this year due to time constraints, so I don't have access to the beta forums. If someone on that thread is doing the work to update the All-In-One tar file with new images and such, that would be awesome. :)

Padres, are you familiar with the logos Razor created last year?

I have his collection that has been augmented with tons of indy, foreign and college logos that I will be uploading soon to file front, if you guys want to check it out for the all in one, be my guest.

MB - The goal of the All-In-One is to compliment the MLB Roster that ships with the game, so all the extra logos probably aren't needed. However, I'd still like to host the updated set when it's ready.

I uploaded a version earlier, its in Muzamba's thread about his college universe... its like almost a 100mb of glossy logos... I will do more I am sure once i have the OOTP itch again

as far as the all in one, I just meant whoever is setting it up could take whatever logos they needed because I am not sure anyone else has done glossy versions of all the newer minor league stuff

Thanks for hosting mods for yet another version of OOTP. You have a great site!

PadresFan 06-01-2009 11:48 PM

MB - Got it, thanks!

Cowboys - Thanks!

Thanks a lot for that wonderful All-in-one Mod!
Minor complaint: NY Yankees logo missing, as well as CC Sabathia photo.

Check the photos and make sure the file isn't named C.C. Sabathia

It won't recognize it as the same person if the periods are in there.

For the Yankees, if you go to the team homepage and click 'Options & Ballpark', then 'Edit Team Colors'; you should be able to select the correct Yankees logo. It may not have the (A) after New York like the team name does in game.

Thanks guys. For now, there is no difference between the 2008 and 2009 Mods except for the filenames. We're going to get them squared away proper in the coming days/weeks.

Just curious, but is there any time frame on the '09 ballpark photos/effects/animations package being fixed?

Depends on what kind of help the OOTP team can offer me, but the earliest will be late tonight (PDT), as I have a little league game to watch after work... Sorry for the inconvenience, I was hoping this would be a straight drop-in from OOTP9....

Kelric 06-03-2009 05:16 PM

Not inconvenient at all. Don't worry about it. Tonight or tomorrow is much better than 'at some point in the next few weeks.' :)

Having problems with the all in one for current league. Player Pics install correctly but the team logos seem not to work. I have done the OOTP 9 fix to regenerate logos as well after installing. Any suggestions?

I think the cities with two MLB teams have added the (A) and (N) in the name. Change the city name and then regenerate and should be fine.

Problem is, it's just not the Chicago and New York teams. The regenerate only works for about a 1/3 of the teams. For the ones that it does work on, it still leaves the old logos in the image file of the league causing the league file to be much larger. I thought the regenerate deleted the old images?

Help

PadresFan, thanks for all you do. I was able to use your site for the historical photos (T_Wil and Gambo pack?) and it worked beautifully in the OOTP 9 Demo for me, but I can't get it to work in OOTP X for love nor money. In Add-Ons Central, your server keeps timing out on me (jazzrack.us /mods/ootpmods). Do I have the wrong server or path to the database or is the site just too busy? Thanks for your time.

Kelric 06-03-2009 10:39 PM

Try downloading directly from his site rather than using the in-game service.
