No players on roster
 

I'm getting the "illegal number of players" error in OOTP 8/2007. I've looked at dozens of posts on this problem, and have implemented the solutions, such as turning on ghost players. However, I haven't found a post that's exactly like the error I'm getting.

I have full rosters on my major league teams, and have completed spring training. However, when I attempt to Manage or Quick-Play any game from the Schedule, I get the "illegal number of players" error. When I click on any of the teams listed in the schedule, I go to the team's home page -- and there are no players. If I click the Rosters link on the page, there are no players.

However, if I go to the Teams menu at the top of the page and click on a team, I see that team's complete roster.

How can I have a full roster when looking at a team's profile, but when that team is listed in the Schedule its roster disappears?
