StatsLab SQL Utilities for OOTPX

StatsLab SQL Utilities for OOTPX Online Leagues
Full Download for OOTPX (up to 1.3.2)
- Base download for OOTPX
- Patch #1
- Patch #2.3
- Patch #3.2
Fidel's install video: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...-statslab.html

A couple of weeks ago I released these utilities for OOTP9 with the promise that I'd release them for OOTPX after a bit more work, so here they are. Inspired by Getch's online league utilities and a new job in which I had to do a lot with MySQL and PHP, I decided to write these several months ago, and with any project I take on, it grew a bit larger than originally anticipated. All the standard features from Getch's utils are there along with some new features.

The OOTPX version of these utilities adds individual pitch ratings to the ratings reports and development tracker. If you've been using the OOTP9 version of the development tracker, there is a document included to walk you through the conversion process and ensure that your development tracker adds the new pitch ratings cleanly.

Feature List:
- Export Tracker
- All-Star Voting
- End-of-Season Awards Voting including Batter of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Gold Gloves
- Development Tracker (with individual pitch ratings)
- Draft Utility including team draft lists, draft scheduler/timer, auto-drafting
- Organizational Ratings Report
- Last Sim Utility including Spring Training Standings, Box Scores, Stats, Top Performances, Playoff Odds
- Career Metrics Utility including Win Shares, OPS+, ERA+, Black Ink, Gray Ink, HOF Standards, Similarity Scores, Leaderboards (career, seasonal, and progressive)
- Support for multiple league universes (via duplicate installs pointing to same DB)
- Comprehensive ReadMe file included with installation instructions
- Conversion process included for leagues using the OOTP9 version of these utils.

Your league website will need MySQL and PHP, both of which you are likely to have if you've got a league forum.

Thanks go out to FOOL-X, who's commish Alan T has been helping test the OOTPX version of these utils.

I also need to send out some props to the two online leagues who've already been using these utilities for the past month or so as beta testers of the OOTP9 version. The PEBA and FBL have gone through a bunch of growing pains with the utils and have been very patient during the process. Commishes John and Jason have also proposed some excellent enhancements that are now part of the utilities for your enjoyment. It's become incredibly clear to me that both John and Jason are incredibly dedicated to their leagues and you'd be hard pressed to find a better commish, so if you're looking for an online league, check them out for openings.

Here's a link to their leagues and utilities installs:
PEBA: 2 major leagues in the PEBA universe: Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance, League of the Rising Sun - Commish: Corsairs
FBL: Federal Baseball League - Commish: jdettbarn

Great tools, I love these. Thanks for all of the hard work on them!

I'm getting this online for RWBL (hopefully). But I'm running across slight issue after doing the install. Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/....../html_functions.php on line 47 (the ...... was placed by me since that's server info.)

That'll be fixed when you load your SQL data. I've adjusted the html_functions.php to handle that error.

Edit: nevermind. Do what fhomess suggests. My work around that I did for that probably isn't helpful and defeats the purpose of him improving his app anyways :)

You need to manually go to the admin.php page after the install.php page and you can load them there. It's in the updated ReadMe since you installed it. :)

The readme is a pdf file called "SQL Utilities Read Me.pdf". It should be in whatever location you unzipped the files to.

The files themselves are to be installed on you league's website.

I haven't used it yet as we haven't yet switched, but thank you very much fhomess! Utilities like these bring a lot to a league, a lot of which I wouldn't want to go without.

So I got the SQL in now. I'm assuming the default passwords for all the users at the beginning is baseball?

Alan, you'll want to download the latest version from this thread. The names display issue is addressed in it.

That was fixed in a later build. It wouldn't show unless you were logged in.

Curious. In the past, a solo player could setup his league as if it were an online league and direct his league upload path (am I using that term correctly) to his own local hard drive, much like was possible in 6.5<

Is this routine possible with this version in order to make use of these utilities?

Inquiring minds want to know. Mine, too! :)
