Paris Roubaix
Anyone else here a huge cycling fan?
Great race yesterday and a hugely deserved win for Philippe Gilbert. I got to fulfill a lifelong (well, since I discovered cycling at like 12 or 13) dream yesterday by watching the finish of Paris-Roubaix in the Roubaix velodrome! :woohoo::flowers: Stood right next to Gilbert as he was giving some interviews outside the Quickstep team bus after winning:tt1: |
Careful, you are showing way too much of your fanboy. :p
I watched cycling a tad about 15 years ago, but gave up when the Tour winner changed with each week's medical report... Lines gotta be drawn somewhere, and I draw them where guys ride a bike for five hours with a bag filled with somebody else's urine in their pants... |

I have been to the Tour de France a couple of times, I was lucky to be there in 2005, when Dutchman Pieter Weening won a stage in the Vosges! |
I just arrived from Palma de Mallorca from my early season cycling camp to my home town Helsinki, Finland. The temperature in Palma was about +20 C and now in Helsinki it’s – 10 C in the early morning before the sun will eventually warm it up to +3 C.
