Players going to minor league teams instead of draft
 

So I've had a little issue plaguing my league. Every year when the new player draft is generated, players get automatically assigned to a few teams. I'm playing currently in 1909 as a team named the Milwaukee Brewers and I always get a few players that auto sign with my club on announcement day. This also happens in the fictional PCL I created for my game. The teams are named for real teams (SF Seals, LA Angels) and get a handful of players each year. It's there any way to prevent this? I am using the minor league DB but i have all evolution off as I'm playing a custom universe. Would giving these teams generic historical abbreviations stop this? It seems that the players are being assigned to the real minor league teams they played for based on team name, even though none of these teams are technically minor league teams.
