Starting up Historical League question

I want to have a league that has teams from different years playing. For example 86 Mets, 77 Yankees...

Can anyone help me figure out how I'd set it up?

How do I grab different teams from different years?

To add to what he said.
Create a fictional league with minimal amount of teams per sub league.
Add your teams, delete the fictional ones, generate new schedule.
Check for fictional players as FA when you are done, they shouldn;t be there but check anyway.
