New to OOTP -- several questions -- help!

I don't know how to do this, but here goes:

1. In OOTP 20 I want to play (manage and gm) an historical season for the '57 Braves. I can find the team and year. After I play game 1, and I turn off my computer for the day, how do I start with game 2 and have game 1 records be recognized?

2. I'd like to use historical lineups for the opposition, but make my own for the Braves and promote and demote players to majors and minors. Will this work? How?

3. I'd like to rely on the historical transactions (trades) and have no desire to make my own. But I still want to control roster via majors and minors. Will this work? How?

If you play a historical replay game as this you will not need minor leagues, just a reserve roster. Did you buy the game through Steam? If so, I can create a game file for you to download from the Steam Workshop. If you subscribe to the Major League Stadiums mod you will even be able to play the games in the real stadiums from that season. I just created a 1957 game to your specifications and the Braves came in first place, winning 100 games.

Thanks. I'm making some progress, little by little.

But, I made a big mistake in my last game.

Late in the game I mistakenly pressed the"finish the inning" button. When I looked up Cincinnati had scored 10 runs off a pitcher I never would have left in the game to take that beating.

Is there any way to "replay" that inning to correct my mistake?
I've also mistakenly put players at "odd" positions. Fixable?
